2 Unfortunately, I was scammed: I booked another home stay closeby: when I arrived they told me they had to put me in another property they managed: Kubu.
Kubu is nothing like the other place. The price difference on Agoda was 90k rupiah, they only gave me 25k difference.
I don't care about the money, but I do care that the other property had old bathrooms, noisy families living downstairs, not even 1 bottle of free water, and a lot of street noise and music.
The most accommodating family who made us feel very at home and so welcome. We saw them cooking dinner one night and commented how good it looked and they brought a huge portion up to our room.it was some of the best food we ate in Indonesia! Rooms are basic but very clean with wifi and air con. Highly recommend for travelling on a budget.
