The place is stunning. Very quiet, far away from busy part of Bali. We loved it! Unfortunately it is not a family friendly place, and either the hotel needs to highlight it or add extra activities for kids. We were there with our 4 year old and it wasn’t much to do expect feeding fishes. The beach is beautiful but it’s not safe to swim there for kids, the pool was too cold. I would say it’s a perfect spot for romantic getaway or very much couples/singles oriented who are looking for disconnection in this paradise. The staff is very nice, the restaurant is very good and the villas with private pool and beachfront are amazing- just keep in mind, not so much to do for kids

We wanted to get away from it all and be pampered.that's exactly what we have found here. Beautiful villa (beach front) in a dream setting, palm trees everywhere. If you're looking for a dynamic holiday, don't come here. This is the place to be if you're looking for a 'flop out' vacation.

The best place to stay in west Bali. Stayed there dozens of times and loved it every time. Last time stayed at residence which was spectacular. Service, luxury and beautifully set on the beach. Great food too.

The rooms are large, well designed and organized, very clean.
2 swimming pools, one is 25m long and the other around 20m. The pools are swimmable and immediately close to the beach.
The beach is very large and almost desertic. Unfortunately, scattered with plastic trash, except in front of the hotel as it is cleaned up by the staff.
I am convinced that I made the right choice with this resort. The only drawback would be that it’s a bit far from the tourists spots but this is the price to pay for quietness.

Kelapa is truly a hidden gem of a hotel. I stayed here for six days and had a fantastic experience. First of all, there are not a lot of rooms here, so it is not crowded and busy like other places. Very quiet and serene at all hours of the day and night. The restaurant is open from 8 AM to 11 PM and serves excellent and varied food. You can request anything you like ahead of time as well. The spa has a large and inexpensive menu of services which are all great (I had the Balinese massage and facial). The yoga instructor is fantastic. Although Kelapa is 2-3 hours away from Denpasar/Ubud, it is a pleasant ride with the drivers who are very knowledgeable. If there is an activity that is not on the list, the staff will work with you to arrange something for a good price. The retreat employees are all very friendly and dedicated to making sure that you have the best experience possible. Overall I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to all my friends.

I never expected a two hours drive from central denpasar would take me to this beautiful hidden gem.

It has a beautiful beach that is clean and quiet. The hotel itself has a very friendly staff and comfortable beds. Also, cleanliness and service is top notch.

I recommended this place for everyone who are looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of central Bali. Its very much worth the long drive.

I found this place by random when we were on way from Gilimanuk to Kuta Selatan as our origin place to stay, but we hardly found any hotel/villa available to book. However, this place really offers more that we expected. They have private beautiful and clean beach and wonderful private pool in front of our room, surrounding by coconut trees and tropical gardens. They successfully bring tropical nuance when you are staying there. There was one minor issue for linen and bed cover, but they quickly responded to replace it. They also serve fresh coconut water and orange juice as welcoming drink. What a stunning place to heal from the crowd.

My impromptu trip turned out to be one of the most captivating escape I have experienced.

Best place in West Bali. Very luxurious bungalows, big infinity pool and lovely restaurant by the beach. Very hospitality and friendly staff. Surfing was also great. Definitely coming back.

We just came back from a wonderful weekend at Kelapa Retreat. Having stayed there a couple of years ago, I can only say great improvements with the private pool villas and new restaurant. Absolutely stunning! The beach is deserted, and perfect for long strolls. The whole place has such a relaxing vibe, and I love the architecture and how they left so much space everywhere so it doesn’t feel crowded. Really nice little getaway spot.we will be back!

What an incredible little resort to escape to! Perfectly located on the pristine black sand beach of Pekutatan, our favorite activity was a family sunrise and sunset walk every day. We would collect shells, children would discover marine wildlife and it really makes you experience how beautiful and quiet life was in Bali before all the development.

A great family getaway for families to do activities together but most importantly, just to decompress! Ibu Isma and Gordon are the nicest s hosts, we already are looking forward to our next family escape!
