My wife and I had an incredible experience at this hotel. The hotel is located in a really centric area of Ubud; however, because of the street where it is located and the rice fields between the street and the hotel rooms, the hotel provides a quiet atmosphere that allows all guests to rest. Also, they have excellent staff dedicated to pleasure all requests. Besides the complimentary breakfasts, we were offered tours, taxi, car and motorbike rentals! To conclude, this is a great hotel to spend your vacations in Ubud.

Awesome cottages. The front desk looks a bit dated, but the walk through the rice field compensates for it. We stayed in Krisna suite (first cottage, ground floor) and the room was very comfortable, cleaned everyday, lovely terase and only a couple of steps to the pool with the most amazing view! We asked to have breakfast at our room (on the terrase) and the staff were very helpful. Loved the banana pancake. Would recommed definitely, if you dont wish to stay on the main street, still be a short walk to the main sites, love some privacy and quiet time.

My brother and I recently stayed at Kama Bisma for three nights (March 3,4,5). We reserved separate rooms (Chalets). I was in the Anjaji room, while my brother was in the Rama room.

Upon arrival, I discovered that our rooms were in different buildings and not near each other. (The booking site does not indicate that the accommodation comprises 3 separate buildings.)

Unfortunately, my room-while very spacious-was located directly above the lobby/reception area in a building that sits right next to Jalan Bisma. Although Jalan Bisma is not the main street in Ubud, it's quite noisy, with cars and motorbikes buzzing by every few seconds. There was also a construction project happened across the street.

My brother's room was located in a duplex-style building, further east, about 2 minutes away on foot. His chalet was considerably quieter.

I contacted the owner (Metta) and requested a reduction in the room rate due to the unexpected noise level, and she simply suggested I cancel my room and find a new place to stay. No discount offered. But this was not viable as I was also staying with my brother.

The Wi-Fi in the Anjaji chalet is also very weak. The Wi-Fi router is located on the terrace, not inside the room.

The curtains in the Anjaji chalet are white, thin and translucent and do not block out the sunlight very well. There are several large windows. The sun rise is extremely bright in the morning. You'll need an eye mask.

Also, there was no hand soap in the bathroom. I had to use the body soap from the shower.

Also, the web photos of the breakfast are NOT accurate. The photos show croissants & bread, but these are NOT available or normally served for breakfast. (I messaged the owner about this, but she ignored my message.)

There are two breakfast options: a pancake or omelet. I ordered the coconut/banana pancake but it was paper thin and undercooked. It's like they endeavored to serve the cheapest breakfast possible. My brother had the omelet, but there was no bread or toast.

Also, some staff members do not speak English well, if at all. There were a few miscommunications as a result.

I had booked the chalet, room was spacious with a huge semi open bathroom with open shower area and bathtub. The balcony had a nice sitting area also. Breakfast options are limited with toast, egg and banana pancake served with tea/coffee and fruit salad. No lunch/dinner options in the hotel but the street offers many good options. Laundry is also nearby. Walkable from Ubud market, Ubud palace and Saraswati temple. Sacred Monkey forest also is near. At night there will be bugs, salamanders and geckos so closing the doors/windows advisable. Bathroom is semi open air so there will be bugs. Loved staying here for 3 nights.

We had an amazing stay at Kama Bisma while in Ubud for 4 days. The villa we got is upstairs and it was very spacious even the bathroom was so spacious! It was so peaceful and very relaxing as you are surrounded by lots of trees and even small rice paddies. A couple of things I would point out are: there are no phones to call from room to front desk so you'll have to walk up to the front desk from your room if you need assistance; and the stone walkway especially the one by the office and down by the rice paddies, and also the stairs are very very slippery since it rains a lot in Ubud, you should be walking to your villa very cautiously to avoid accidents. Breakfast was okay. You get either plain omellete or banana pancakes, coffee/tea, a fresh fruit bowl and sometimes toast. I would say good enough to get you started in the morning! Anyway, terima kasih Kama Bisma! Lots of love from Canada!
