I Make The Pies Bali

Went to I make the pies hoping to pick up a nice brunch to take home and enjoy with my wife and child.
Purchased 1 steak pie, 1 steak and mushroom pie, 1 mince pie and 1 sausage roll.
Disappointing is an understatement.
The steak pie and the mince pie were so over cooked, to the extent that there was no gravy, just dry dark flaky meat, and the flavour was disgusting.
The steak and mushroom pie, not even willing to try.
It's just sitting in the fridge until I take out the mushrooms and give the rest to our dogs.
The sausage roll was the same dry and horrible tasting meat.
Definitely not NZ or Australia worthy, but in fact the worst pies and sausage roll that I have ever tried.
Considering that all this came in at over 300k including the ridiculous tax and service charge, can only give this experience 2 thumbs down, and recommend anyone wanting a good pie to search elsewhere.
Sorry for such a terrible review, but I have to share this so the owner knows, and potential customers do too.

I obviously asked which was more popular, Steak and Cheese or Steak and Mushroom. I ordered Steak and Cheese and was told to wait 20 minutes, but it took 40 minutes. There were only two other customers in the store other than me, and there were three employees at the counter, looking at their phones and talking among themselves. Usually, when you order takeaway, they at least put it in a bag and bring it to the table. Here, they put it in a hamburger carton and the cashier called me and told me to take it.
It was 65K, but I got 71K with a service charge. It's not that it wasn't delicious, but it wasn't even the steak and cheese I ordered, but steak and mushrooms.
What does the owner do? It's surprising how inexperienced his staff management is. It's really serious.

WOW best pie we’ve ever had! We will be visiting again to get a pie to go before we leave Canggu!:)

The best "pies" I've tried in all of Indonesia without a doubt. I wouldn't know which one to recommend, they are all super tasty and juicy. The meat one, the most typical, is definitely a must try. It has been biting him and wanting to cry with emotion! Brutaaaaaal mandatory stop

After being in Asia for 6 months we miss some food from home (UK) the pie definitely hit the spot!

Incredibly good pies! I grew up in NZ so I've had my fair share of good meat pies.but the steak and cheese pie I just had was one of the best I've ever eaten! The pastry was perfect, the slow cooked beef was plentiful with a delicious flavour.

After traveling SE Asia for 6 months it was damn good to have a decent pie! I had the steak and cheese and certainly was like a pie from home, however I found it a tad dry (maby in a warmer for some time?) but I'm guessing this would not happen often. Great wee shop, we had mash and veg also and a free susage roll! Some Watties Tomatoe sauce would have topped it off! If you're after a decent pie this is the place to go.

Fantastic food and excellent service. Pleasure to visit this evening. Some of the best ‘homely’ food I’ve had the pleasure of consuming.

The place to go for great grub in Canguu. As the terminator says. I’ll be back.

Best palce where to have a pancake. This red velvet pancake is amazing. Not need any filter to make this photo look beautiful, and when you'll food arrive you can just tell wow, and the taste is double wow =)

These pies are exceptional! So so tasty! I purchase here often and get take away and they are just the best! Can't get better pies in Canggu!

I must say this place is amazing and unique!
I have enjoyed their food very much!
It reminds me of a great restaurant in New Zealand but much more!
The service is really good and you feel like a sense of warm family there!
These guys make the best pies I have ever had!
I will go there again once I am back to Bali.

Brownies and cream are so addictive! Eco friendly (I don't see any plastic there) and free mineral water. The pies are even better than in NZ. Love the pasta and the breakfast. Looking forward for any discounts because I will be there almost everyday!

Pies and service were great! Better than a lot of pies you will find in NZ! Mince and Cheese was tumeke!

I love this place. Very chilled atmosphere and the staff are absolutely lovely. They have the best banana cake in canguu in my opinion. Menu items are at a good price too. Definitely visit.

Love coming to this place! The coffees are amazing as well as the pies. The staff are all super friendly (Adi is a legend).

‘I make the pies’ is love at first sight! Delicious breakfast, amazing pastry and desserts, great coffee and welcoming people. Omg, those scones are heavenUlfa is lovely and so smiley! It feels like someone who opened the place is a nice person if he/she (or the whole team) managed to create a great menu and bring nice people together. Highly recommend and will come back for sure?

We unintentionally stumbled upon this place while looking for a quick feed, and we're so glad we did. We were greeted by a super friendly staff member (despite us walking in almost exactly on closing time) and proceeded to order a mango smoothie and steak and black pepper pie. The pie was delicious and the mango smoothie was perfect.

I didn't know I was a pie fan until I tried out this restaurant! The food there just tastes so good and satisfying! And the dark chocolate shake, yumm.

If you are Pie lovers, this is the place that you should visit. Coffee also amazing, totally great bistro and very helpfull staff. Fantastic!

This is by far the best coffee place in Canggu and probably in Bali, Awesome prices, the Barista is so nice! And the Cappuccino is just perfect 100% recommended
