Honai Resort

What an amazing stay! From the check in on everything was perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful and they really treat you amazingly here. The rooms are beautifully decorated and you can just tell that this resort is made with love. The bathtub is special and the breakfast was delicious. We took 2 complimentary yoga classes which we loved and were for every level. Fell in love with the place, never been as relaxed.:)

We had a beautiful and relaxing stay here. Location was great in being close enough to ubud to conveniently get in and out for activities, dinner etc but far enough to feel quiet, secluded and relaxing. Our room was lovely, housekeeping were very efficient, the free yoga class was great! Would stay again for the quietness of a relaxed retreat but the convenience of location!

POSITIVE: The room was perfect! Big bed, huge bathtub, cute accessories like hats, flip flops etc, hanging chair on our terrace. We really loved the style of the hotel. The pool was also nice but small, we hardly ever used it. The breakfast is also a highlight with fruit, cake, a main course of your choice, delicious coffee/tea, juice, etc. The location is quiet and a bit away from Ubud center but ideal if you rent a scooter. We also had a couples massage which we really enjoyed. The a la card 3 course menu dinner was also great. The staff is super friendly and very attentive.

NEGATIVE: In addition to the 3-course dinner menu, we ordered room service once and unfortunately there wasn't that much choice. Our booking included an Ubud tour, which we really enjoyed, but it wouldn't have been worth the money if we had to pay extra. You have to pay extra money everywhere: waterfall -> entrance, temple -> entrance, rental fee for 1st sarong, rental fee for 2nd sarong, locker fee, etc.etc.etc. In principle you only pay for a driver and not for a tour. That's why I advise everyone to just take a Grab and drive everywhere themselves before booking a tour. Unfortunately, we also had the unpleasant experience of being disturbed twice during the night on 3 days. Unfortunately, on the first night I didn't feel well due to stomach pain and we went to sleep at 7: 30 p.m. Until we woke up because housekeeping opened the door and walked in. On the second night there was a penetrating knock on our door at 1: 00 a.m. And we were really woken from our deep sleep. When we opened the door they wanted to give us towels. Of course we were really mad and said we didn't need any. The reception then called us and asked if we had just called them and ordered towels. Of course we didn't do that and they apologized. You really have to be a little more careful and attentive when it comes to things like this.

Overall, we still liked the Honai Resort, but would book a different hotel next time because the choice in Ubud is just so big and the stay has to be absolutely carefree so that we go to the same hotel again.

This little gem is a very special place.someone has put enormous thought and talent into every element of its design and gardens. The gardens are outstandingly designed.a tropical pallet of greens, pinks, reds and the occasional splash of lime yellow. Each thatched rondavel is double story and surrounds lovely pool. The decor is understated and beautiful. The food is good and the staff are lovely.

Good hotel a few minutes from the center of Ubud.
Very welcoming staff. Very clean room with two staff visits per day.
Very good restaurant for breakfast but also for dinner. Possibility of having good breakfasts to take away for early departures (including Mount Batur).
The hotel offers a shuttle to central Ubud, but with limited schedules. Possibility of using Gojek to get into the center of Ubud.

We can't call it a resort.it is just a small building with very limited number of rooms.it may be a good place to relax away from city center but services around the place are so limited.breakfast is so poor.room is spacious but it had ants and geckos

This place gave me so much energy. The staff is the best and the environment peacefull but a 10 minute scooter ride away from thr bustling streets of Ubud.

Their resort is so calm, the pool is big, clean and they also have big bathtub.
The room also have big bed and fluffy pillow which i love the most ️

They also have mini library at the lobby

2 star not 4 star- aunts would fall on me at night out of the blue- when I told staff they told me it’s because they r in th jungle! - they also kept my luggage hostage because they couldn’t find the safe key which I left in the room! Too much to describe what a mess…. Oh and stained sheets- the they spray the stinky towels with air freshener ….

A resort feels like home. Friendly and helpful staffs. Spacious and complete room to your safety and comfy. A swimming pool and an open-air space for yoga, meditation or other events.

Food was ok, service was very slow. Waited 30 minutes between ordering and recieving desert and the was only one other table.

I didn't sleep there but I stayed near and went there very often for eating. The food is really good and the staff especially friendly. I can fully recommend the place.

The most beautiful resort I have been. Wood deco, balcony with the view of the pool, comfortable bed, amazing bathroom. Spa in Honai was the best spa I found in the whole Bali. Staff is best as well, so nice people, they will do their best to make you stay unforgettable, highly recommended
