You can snorkel here and marvel at the underwater world. Bathing shoes highly recommended!

Incredible beach, there was no one but it is true that quite a few boats come to snorkel. Diving there is spectacular, many colorful fish, corals and some turtles. The Warung is very good and they are very friendly, the Banana Pancake is delicious. Highly recommended.

The waves that come here from time to time are more for very good swimmers.

There are always 5-10 boats out in the water in the morning that are also snorkeling.
I would snorkel all the way there; further out it could get uncomfortable because of the currents.
Food at Warung was great

I went by scooter, but the end is quite steep. After that, we descended the cliff on foot and finally reached it. Because it is hard to get to, you can spend a quiet and comfortable time as a little-known spot.

Very nice beach. Little touristy.
But gives a warning.
The path is a bit adventurous, but doable.

If you like snorkeling you should really go to Gamat Bay. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been fot snorkeling. We even saw 2 turtles!

This beach is really quiet. There is a local where you can rent snorkeling stuff and get a coconut if you'd like.

If you go during low tide, I would recommend wearing shoes since you have to walk over reef to get into the water.

The road is a bit tricky (lots of big rocks). Eventually the road will stop, and that is where you can park your bike. From there you'll have to walk down to get to the beach. This is the part where it gets even more difficult. It has no stairs, just a path through the bushes. When you're almost there it will get a bit steep, but there is a bamboo stick you can grab to get down.

Lots of small and pretty fish. But the water isn't crystal clear. Ask your boatman to bring some bread to lure the fish up, or bring some yourself.

Gamat Bay is one of snorkeling spot in Nusa Penida. No villa or hotel around the beach. Tourist usually snorkeling here combine with others snorkeling spot such as: crystal bay, manta point & bay, etc

Best place for snorkelling. It’s shallow enough for us to see many type of the fishes. We also enjoy fish feeding here. The fish are tame enough and we can trick them that we have food. Lol… the current is quite strong. Please have a professional instructor to accompany you in this journey.

Lovely beach, without people ️ but not safe & comfortable way. Good for snorkeling, take coral slippers if you enter the water from the beach.

Better to come here when the sky is clear or bright so that you get better visibility. Mild current, water is a bit cold due to the location being in a bay shaded by trees and shrubs

This is a very small isolated beach that by car and then foot is a little difficult to arrive to.
However out of the Nusapenida beaches is among the quietest and calm waters with a lot of fish viewing and not massive waves like the other beaches on this island.

My suggestion about this beach is to get there by boat and snorkeling trip, do not approach this beach from shore as very delicate live coral is trying to survive and human footprints would destroy it's delicate environment.

Is hard to get down to the bay if you want to go there by foot have to claim down to the hill a bit dangerous, but if you go with boat totally fine,
The beach is dirty full of trash even snorkeling you can set plastic bag floating and water bottles

10 minute walk from parking area, its a snorkelling spot you can see several boats nearby (snorkelling tour) Plenty of fishes and some corals can be seen, most of the corals seems dead.
