Fat Bowl

We had two Nasi Goreng for lunch at this place and right after leaving the restaurant both of us started having stomach issues that lasted for a couple of days. I would not recommend visiting this place risking stomach problems. We had better food in other restaurants at a more reasonable price.

For the price point vs quality, there are other places I’d choose ahead of Fat Bowl.
The duck pancakes were delicious, the rendang was more like a curry. The rib special was a bit bland. 3 for 1 cocktails (170K+) Happy hour all day, with certain cocktails only.

Great food, and friendly staff. I had a tenderloin steak and my wife had the quesadillas. Both were well prepared and filling. The causal atmosphere facing the street was fun and festive.

Since it is located in front of the entrance of the Padma Resort Legian hotel and close to the beach, most of the customers were tourists, and 80% of them were Australian, perhaps because it was just a matter of the day I visited.

However, it's not that it's a difficult place to visit; Western food is on the menu, but they also have Bintang beer, mie goreng, and nasi goreng.

Overall I think it's a good and conscientious restaurant. 950,000 IDR (lunch) for 3 people drinking.

Fantastic menu and food was sensational! Definitely one of the best Green Chicken Curries I’ve tasted. Great atmosphere!

Don't.just don't. I had the pork belly. So tough, couldn't cut it and it tasted off. Started vomiting shortly afterwards. Over cooked, over priced, over off. Never again.

Amazing little find, strangely eclectic menu, but if you pick well, you will be rewarded. We had, salt and pepper squid, tempura prawn California roll and my favourite, beef rendang bao bun, all very good. Reasonably priced as was the wine. Will definitely visit again.

Rating food and drink.
Generally speaking the food is ok.
Except of fries. Not sure what oil and what kind of quality been used but it had an unpleasant aftertaste.

The wine is not ok. Just be satisfied with Bintang.

Got a glass of Shiraz. It’s is undrinkable.
Chilled stale red wine. The kind of wine one may have lost in the fridge for months.

Got Chardonnay.
It was bearable, just tasted like a cleaning solution for kitchen kettle. Not sure if it is “Two Island” problem or the place itself.

Cocktail was average.

Got food poisoning from the chicken, place is dirty and expensive. To add to it rude staff especially the manager, kicks the kids off the pool table so he can use it. F this place.

Pathetic service. Waited for more than 1.5 hour for food. It never arrived. Save time and go somewhere else. Drinks were forgotten and we had to remind them repeatedly.

Food was tasty but not much of it service was slow sat there for 30 minutes with empty glasses had to ask twice to get a drink, needed to go to counter to ask for account as no staff were serving prices reasonable definitely not cheap it was quiet in restaurant would not like to see what service was like if they were busy

Biggest burger in the world! It would have taken me 1 week to eat it all if I did not have friends with me. Great place: D

There was a piece of glass in my chicken burger and I hurt myself while eating it. That shouldn't happen in any kitchen. Staff reacted appropriately. I ordered nasi goreng instead which was fine.

Little more expensive than some of the other local places, but the food is delicious so totally worth it.

Did not try the 1kg burger this time, but may have to next time we visit.

Unfortunately the quality of food has gone down over the years.would not go back unless there is a revamp.

Ate here three years ago and it was great, although food has seemed to go downhill since then. OK meal but nothing to rave about.

Great food. Loved the Beef Rendang and Green curry chicken. Kids enjoyed the fish and chips too

Good food - really good coffee. This place has an extensive menu which was well priced. Staff are very friendly. Pizza dough and buns are made onsite too. Great for lunch. Not busy when we went.

The foods came very long. 45mins for the pizza. 20mins for drink. I cancelled the rest. Not a good option to hav a dinner

The portions are very small for the price, compared to local smaller restaurants ive been too.further more the prices in this area are quite high, Seems to be a tourist trap area. Very polite staff, and the food is good I got a burger and milk shake. Id just prefer to go somewhere more local for i could have gotten way more milkshake and fries for less.
