Well.thought we'd try EL MEXICANO Ubud. Excellent food and service. Love it.
Give it a go.it's worth it.

We loved the food! Best Mexican around.very tasty fajitas and burrito. My daughter loved the homemade tortilla chips so we got 2 orders!

They have clearly shortened their menu during this pandemic. Though it's understandable that restaurants would trim their menus down when there's not much volume, to have chicken as the only meat on the menu takes this rationale a bit too far. Chicken quesadilla, chicken enchilada, chicken tacos, chicken fajitas, etc. It's either chicken or vegetarian. Food wasn't bad, and the service pretty good, but menu was a let down though.

It's fine. A bit too much cheese on the enchiladas tho (yeah, even I can't believe that's a complaint but they were quite stingy the chicken). Also, they only serve vegetarian or chicken options of their food.again, it's fine but that doesn't excite me much. The margarita was not very good at all - it had just about enough tequila, but essentially tasted like watered down lime juice with a hint of tequila and a salted rim.

Food was good but it missed a punch.

The decoration is beautiful.

It is a shame that the restaurant is in the middle of two bars because you will be hearing both. We had to listen Abba with some reggae.: (

Rasanya lumayan gurih. Kami coba beef dan chicken tacos, quesadilla, dan enchiladas. Pelayanan ramah. Harga lumayan tengah-tengah.

Stayed in Ubud for 1 week and this was our favorite place. Get the Pollo tacos. The margaritas are quite bad though I’d avoid them. I live in Texas so have had a lot of Tex-Mex, been to Mexico several times also. This place hits the spot. The Churros are also a must!

Love this place.the food was excellent no matter the order, pretty much sampled the entire menu on 3 separate dates.upstairs and downstairs seating, great location, fast and friendly service.wish the mexican was as good back home.enjoy.

Delicious Mexican food, clean kitchen and bathrooms, very nice decoration music and atmosphere.

Loved their Fahitas! (chicken and vegetarian) we came here three times we liked it so much! The woman serving us (sorry forgot her name) was so nice, by the third time, she remembered our order exactly!

Food was delicious, we had the corn, nachos and burrito, would reccomend all of them. Upstairs seating area is delightful. Staff were really friendly.

Loved the burritos here, fresh ingredients, service a little slow but the burritos are worth it, came here 3 days in a row since I needed a break from the local cuisine.

We could not fully enjoy the food because of the awful waitresses - they spoiled our impression and didn’t make us want to come back again. Maybe the language barrier, maybe their lack of experience or whatever but they didn’t hear us at all so after several efforts we got food which we didn’t wanted

We’ve never met such unprofessional waiters. We couldn’t eat spicy food due to health problems so we asked not to bring us spicy dishes. The dishes they served afterwards caused fire in our mouths! So we asked to change and they brought absolutely the same spicy dishes but without a piece of chalapeno on the side which was before.omg big disappointment

Over priced and under-seasoned. Had quesadillas and taco salad, both very small plates (taco salad was no more than a side salad). The dips were all under-seasoned as were the chips and dressing. Nice view from upstairs though!

Food is nice, but staff is something unbelievable, they will lie looking into your eyes with a smile on face! I don’t know where the owner found them, I think it is quite difficult to find such unprofessional staff. Would never come back and do not recommend you to go there.

Better than eating in Mexico (yes ive eaten in Mexico) The good was so fresh and full of flavours. This is a must stop place if you are in the area. Good pricing as well.

Great Mexican food! The restaurant looks really cool and offers lots of nice spots to sit (downstairs and upstairs).

Veggie burrito with veggies on side (cucumber is odd in a burrito.) fulfilled my craving for Mexican food big-time!

Good value mexican. We had the street corn and fish tacos. The corn had a great kick just how it should be. The 3 tacos for 75k were pretty good, but could of jad a bit more coriander to give it more authenticness. Overall a well priced meal
