1 Today I had the pleasure of joining David Metcalf on his photography tour around Ubud… what an incredible day! (And all shot on my iPhone - that David was really happy to give me lots of tips about.)
The weather was very kind to us with clear shots of Mt Agung in the early morning.
We were blessed again at a giant sacred banyan tree where the men started burning leaves, giving us great opportunities for really ‘ethereal’ pics with the smoke and sunshine.
Quite by coincidence, I had booked on the date of the new moon so we took the opportunity to go down to the beach to watch the Hindu ceremonies!
Luck was really on my side today!?
Highly recommend David’s tour - not only does he know the area like the back of his hand but he has also travelled extensively throughout Indonesia and is passionate about the different cultures and customs, and the preservation of this special part of the planet. Needless to say, the conversation throughout the day was really thoughtful and inspiring.
