Darmada Eco Resort

Fantastically beautifully situated and landscaped eco resort where we stayed for a week. It is very well thought out and spaciously integrated into the beautiful surroundings of Sidemen. The houses are decorated creatively and with an eye for detail. The food is delicious and everything is spotless and hygienic. The host, hostess and employees are attentive and hospitable. As far as we're concerned, a 10+

We didn't stay in a room, but had an excellent lunch. We also had private yoga instruction and massages. Very reasonable.

We only came for lunch.

The prices are correct and the place is beautiful, however our meals were average although very beautiful.

We didn’t stay but came for the day to swim in their natural swimming pool, they gave a day pass with minimum spend of 200k per person

In the beginning they wanted us to eat first before swimming, but we offered to pay deposit in advance so they let us swim before lunch, it worked out…

It’s a beautiful resort.we enjoyed the swim and the food was good.

Cancels reservation 2 days before arrival. No warning, no explanation, doesn’t respond to messages. Avoid this resort.

Superb establishment with beautiful spacious rooms, a nice swimming pool, a good restaurant, massages at an additional cost at good prices.

On the other hand, we had booked by booking, with online payment by the establishment. On arrival, no debit had been made online and we were asked for payment on site with 2% fee if credit card. We refused it because it was against the booking conditions. So be careful.

Very nice resort, nice staff, unfortunately we arrived after heavy rain, the nearby river was raging, our rooms located near the riverside were not the most adequate because the noise of the river was very intense and we prevented us from sleeping, we would have appreciated being informed of the situation before our arrival.

(No wifi except at the restaurant and reception)

We spent 2 exceptional days in the Villa located near the river. Ideal for couples, it has a private swimming pool and a terrace with a view of the river… Located in a peaceful and quiet location, we loved our stay. Special mention for the restaurant and the staff who were very caring. We will definitely be back

I really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights towards the end of the rainy season. Situated on a riverbank, the resort has a background palette of ambient sounds all day long. Rooms are comfortable and pretty. What also stood out for us was the lush garden and tasteful facilities for yoga and massage. The personnel was very helpful in arranging things like day trips, scooters, etc. My inner coffee addict was pleasantly surprised to find a kettle of boiling hot water and coffee outside my room each morning at 6am:)

Had a drink and a snack here, food and service very good. Lovely location. Would definitely return.

Very nice hotel in a peaceful and quiet location if you want to go around Sidemen.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. The scenery is perfect to just relax and enjoy the moment:)

Darmada exceeded all our expectations. It was such an incredible experience. The photos do not do it justice! Highly highly recommend. Definitely going back.

Tastefully done rooms. A river runs through the resort and there are rice fields also. Wayan and his wife are lovely hosts. The staff was super helpful and polite. They also help you organize trips to nearby locations.

A nice retreat in the middle of the rainforest. You'll have ample time to rest and reflect with no distractions. Staff are wonderful. The river view and restaurant are my favorite spots. Cons include limited Wi-Fi coverage (none in rooms) and spotty mobile coverage. Room is quite dark, no easily accessible power points making it hard to charge devices. No mirror in front of the sink for some odd reason. Can't get to the other side of the bed. Most disappointed with no bidet in the toilet making it hard for us Asians to clean ourselves after business. Which is ironic because as an "eco" resort, you should reduce dependency on toilet paper. +Update in response to your reply: It shouldn't be the guest's responsibility to ask for items not provided in the room. We did ask for a mosquito repellent after not finding any in the room and was provided one later. But we didn't see a "water gun" so assumed that it was a toilet without a bidet. A note informing us of items upon request would have been helpful, or a "how is your room, can we get you anything" would have been appreciated (as practiced in accommodations worldwide). Putting the blame on the guest for "not asking" for things not already provided in the room is not something you should be doing.

Beautiful place, hidden gems for a hideaway. They have access for tukad unda river and it's great place to do photoshoot, weddings or retreat

One of our favorite Bali resorts. Quiet and usually peaceful (when we're not there with the kids!). Located alongside a gorgeous river, the sound of the river permeates the whole resort. The rooms are awesome, but not for the faint of heart if you have a problem with insects. It's an eco resort after all! The restaurant serves delish takes on local food. The freshwater spring pool is nice and cold. It's always got an odd green color, but don't worry, just think of it like a swimming hole in a creek! We love this place and will be back!

Beautiful eco resort next to an amazing rushing river. The grounds and views are exquisite. The villas/bungalows are really well done in a classic Bali style with loads of room, sweet outdoor bathroom, a veranda in front and a deck over a stream in back. The restaurant is top notch and reasonable, in a lovely setting.

The gorgeous pool is spring fed so it can be a bit chilly, but has nice loungers and strong Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is not available in the rooms nor is a/c. A little buggy. The resort is at the bottom of a big hill so walking to town would be rough. If you are ok with that and want to escape for few days, then this is the place. The price is very very good.
