Channel Islands Surfboards ulasan
20 SUPER TERRIBLE service. Nice place, but VERY rude, cocky, and arrogant employees. The guy staff was very cocky and seemed to hate beginners. The girl staff (Eka) was also very cocky. I really hope they both get fired. As a business owner, it would be a nightmare hiring them both as they clearly made us NOT buy from the shop. Imagine how many people (especially beginners who are trying to buy their first board) end up not buying because of those two cocky staff. How they talk to us was so rude, disgusting, and condescending. Pretty sure the guy staff was just aiming to lure us to offer his service as a surf instructor. So unfortunate. Because we were already willing to invest in 2 boards for me and my wife. TO ANYONE READING, BRING YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. You’ll get better, more pleasant (and i’m sure more honest) service.
This is a surfing supplies shop. The store was very spacious and the products were laid out in an easy-to-understand manner. If you come here, you will be able to get all the necessary equipment.
Bought the BSB Shortlong and it’s hand down my favourite board I have ever surfed. Bought one to leave over in Bali at my Dads house but ended up loving it so much I took it home to Australia and then ordered another one to keep in Bali. Can we surfed in all conditions and wave heights, super easy to catch waves on and picks up speed really easily.
Will definitely be ordering more boards from BSB in the future and highly recommend the BSB shortlong board
Amazing experience with the service of Eka, she is absolutely AMAZING. Went above and beyond with help and advice. If every shop in Bali had an Eka, it would make this place even better. Thank you!
The only "surf shop" in Seminyak selling wax and leashes. Hard to believe I know. The rest have the odd board but this is the only real surf shop.
Visited this store a couple of months ago looking for a board that could go in solid overhead Indo waves. A guy working there who was from Nias recommended a board right away for me. Delighted with the board (CI pro) and have had some of my best sessions ever on it. Can tell the construction (S glass 6x4x4) is high quality and have had literally no damage to it after taking some heavy beatings. Cheers guys
Caution: Just like what the other negative reviews said, the customer will be blamed for any defects in craftsmanship. Further, they are no longer doing repairs no matter how obvious the defects are. Both boards that i bought fell apart in exactly the same way. Their factory is producing boards of shockingly poor quality.
Very nice shop providing professional advice. However, a channel Island shop has been now "closed" for a couple of weeks for renovation! Does anybody know more about it and when it will reopen?
This is a very good store. However, if you want to purchase products here, it is better to come when the boss is there. Local staff are unkind, arrogant, and have no spirit of service.
Board quality & customer service really bad!
They have obvious board defects
Blame the customer
Also, they said that they should contact after confirmation
However, the repair was done unilaterally, and even the repair was messed up
I don't want to use this brand again
My son and I spent a few days shopping boards. We found a nice soft top beginner board which we looked at a few times. We went back to the shop in Friday afternoon to purchase the board and were surprised to get a negative vibe from the shop “expert”. He walked over from across the shop talking in a patronizing manner about our board selection. The first words out of his mouth were “i don’t want you coming back here complaining about the board not working for you”. It was a real negative vibe. I asked him what he thought was a good board choice would be. He came back with an expert level board which was hard, impossibly wide for my son to paddle, and three times as expensive as the board that we had selected. It was an inappropriate board for a seven year old boy. I said that I didn’t want my son to get banged up as he was learning and the man’s response was that it was inevitable so he might as well get used to taking the pain. I asked if he knew where I could purchase children’s wetsuits anywhere in Bali and again he was negative about it. He said that anyone with a wetsuit would be laughed at in Bali. It was the weirdest encounter I have ever had in a surf shop. He was good at ruining the stoke that my son and I were enjoying. After he was finished pissing all over us, he went outside to smoke another cigarette. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. There is a rotting apple in the barrel there. My son just gave me a forlorn look and asked me where the nice people who used to work in the shop had gone.
Wow, cannot recommend highly enough, Cal and Ricky both know their shiz and were super helpful with board selection, rights fins, and general Bali surf know how. My custom board is epic, super stoked, 5 stars
Being a surfer all of my life and after visiting these shops, I give them an A+ for presentation.
But there is a saying in Bali about Al Merrick boards, "How many Al Merrick Boards break in the surf"? ALL OF THEM.
Staff who surf and know what they're talking about, customisable CI boards, a huge selection of boards and kit in the Sunset Road store. By far the best place to shop for a new stick and their level of customer service is way beyond anything else in Bali. Thanks Cal, Putu, Chris, Rod & all at CI Bali.
Awesome service ordered a custom at a good price with spray looks SICK. They finished it in 7 days everything done exactly as asked for, big thanks to Putu, George and Chris!
My board bought from this store started to dimple early and after 6 months resembled a golf ball. And then snapped in half during a duckdive! Beware buying here - overpriced and dodgy glassing done in Bali.
Part II So I had the board joined and guess what? The string from the leash (also purchased there) wedged through the tail during a surf! How weak is that? Caveat emptor, let the buyer beware.
Beautiful store but don't be fooled on how much they overprice their merchandise. I bought a pair of fins for my partner without realizing how overcharged I got. They cost me the $156USD when they retail everywhere else for $74USD. Unfortunately I didn't realize this when buying them and they will not let me return them. So be warned and double check all the pricing, because if you're not educated on the proper retail price they will rob you blind!
It's channel islands. And it's much cheaper than hawaiian or american or austrailian CI. What more can i say?
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Occasionally you can find an awesome used board still in good condition for like half the price.
Very nice shop providing professionak advice. However, a channel Island shop has been now "closed" for a couple of weeks for renovation! Does anybody know more about it and when it will reopen?
