16Celebrated Midsummer there and it was everything you could imagine and then some! Nice staff and good food. Felt like you were at home in Sweden again!
Bad experience with the expensive beef rendang. Tasted spicy. Must select white rice or stir-fried vegetables. Not both. Paid extra 20K for the vegetables. Ridiculous. Watermelon granite tasted weird. 16% added for the tax and svc.
Nice fruit platter with delicious Granola for breakfast.
Also comes with vanilla yogurt which l didn't have on my first visit.
Love their orange, lime and miint drink.
Our breakfast was so good. They use good quality ingredients and even have oat milk for coffee. We will definitely be back again.
I've been here almost every day in my Bali trip. Great for breakfast or lunch!
And if you order a juice or Ice Coffee, you always get a big glass without ice cubes (->you get a lot of your beverage.)
Highly recommend it.
Me and my wife dinned here twice, once for dinner and once for coffee and dessert. One thing we can say, is that the food is subpar at best. One of the burgers we got had unfinished meat in it and the other was like rubber. The molten lava cake was solid.
The best we got was a ok coffee and ice cream dessert.
What pulls it up from 1 or 2 stars is the service. The waitresses working there are very lovely and does a fantastic job of selling the place. They were the reason we gave them a second chance.
Cafe Smorgas is an institution in Sanur - high-quality European meals in a down-to-earth cafe, with great service.
Behind the scenes, they are also the best caterer around. I have used them more than a dozen times of my events.
Co-owner Lotta is sharp - she goes extra mile on everything! She makes great recommendations in the pre-planning, and always has a proactive attitude. Working with her is seamless, and unlike any other caterer I work with - she doesn’t just “drop off” the food - but takes care of everything food-related during the events- the prep, refills, and clean-up.
Frequently you will hear people comment - “that’s the best (fill in the blank) pasta salad, chocolate truffle, eggs benedict, pavlova, , etc I have ever had! ”
Don’t be fooled by the unpretentious vibe.their food, themed event dinners, and private catering - are top notch!
Best cafe / restaurant / coffee shop in Sanur, cozy atmosphere, tasty food! Healthy choices for breakfast, tasty lunch, superb dinner! Salsa night is fun on every Thursday!
Good place! The staff were super nice. The coffee w/ almond milk was very tasty. Also the Detox juice is terrific. We’ll be back for the breakfast one day.
I had breakfast here with my wife and two young kids. I ordered the smoothie bowl and eggs Benedict. Both were subpar although my wife's banana pancake was quite good. No granola in the smoothie bowl and the smoothie was very runny. Service was good but overall the place just lacked something. I hear it's a better experience for lunch and dinner.
I only had fruit salad and yoghurt, for the price I was expecting something reasonably decent but what I got was very simple fruits, watermelon, melon, pineapple and warm, plain runny yoghurt. It was practically warm milk.horrible. The staff watched me leave most of it and didn't bother to ask if there was something wrong. My GF didn't really enjoy her food either.
Nice cafe with delicious food, good coffee and friendly service. They have some great value breakfast sets. It's Swedish owned so they also have a few Swedish specialties on the menu although I didn't try them. They have comfy seating both inside and outside.
I had a large breakfast package, its including juice and coffee but i dont drink coffee so they replaced me with a big glass of juice. Staff are attentive and well known of product
Popped in for breakfast, great atmosphere, coffee was excellent and my poached egg with avocado on toast was so tasty and well presented.
Highly recommended. Slightly expensive, but still cheap compared to home.
I had the Swedish meat balls and my wife the "sourdough" sandwich. We were both disasappointed. The meat was hard and without taste and the completely tasteless sandwich seemed to be made from normal, white toast. In spite of this, three stars for good fresh made juice mixes, cakes and cappucino. After all, they call themselves "café" and not restaurant.
They have a lenghty Swedish menu, but we don't feel tempted to come back and try more from it. Unfortunately.
Great service, good quality food. Everything was fresh and looked delicious. If you are there, try their homemade black grape jam. It is a revelation! So good!
Will definitely come back as not only the food is awesome but the interior invites you to have a great time with your friends or family.
