Bukit Vista - Bali Base

I typically wouldn't write this type of review, but I feel it's my duty to address the unprofessional treatment I received from this company. I booked a room at a property they manage on October 2nd for a stay from October 14th to October 22nd. However, the next morning, I received a work-related call informing me of an urgent situation, requiring me to postpone my stay by one week.

I promptly submitted a modification request on October 3rd, less than 24 hours after making the initial booking. Unfortunately, they denied my request, citing a 14-day cancellation policy. I explained that I couldn't stay on the originally booked dates and asked if they could modify the reservation, as the new dates were still available.

Their response was surprising; they suggested that I should show compassion towards their staff and the local community, implying that my date modification would negatively affect them.

I wasn't seeking a refund; I merely needed to change the dates, and they prioritized profit over customer care.

I understand their concern if the dates were blocked for an extended period, but it was only a 14-hour difference. They could have accommodated the modification, but they chose not to. I tryed to get AIRBNB to moderate however they where powerless to help

If you're considering using this company to manage your property in Bali, please be aware that guest satisfaction is not their top priority, and they use the guilt of potentially suffering staff as an excuse. There are many other property managers out there who strike a better balance between owner and guest needs while being more reasonable. I would recommend exploring other options for your businesss

Your response serves as an illustration of the practice of blame shifting. I contacted Airbnb, and they tried to facilitate a resolution. However, Bukita Vista declined to consider a modification or a refund.

It is essential to emphasize that there was no valid rationale for Buana Vista to reject my request. This assertion holds true irrespective of their cancellation policy. A management company that prioritizes strong guest relationships would have recognized that the request was submitted within less than 24 hours of the initial booking, further underscoring the reasonableness of my appeal.
This review belongs here as this incident and their response underscores the need to bring attention to the organizational culture within Bukit Vista.

I have never seen such a catastrophic customer service, you should be ashamed of your behaviour.
We were unable to complete our stay in one of their Airbnb as my husband was HOSPITALIZED for nearly a week.
I contacted the host to ask to reschedule the stay, he refused and never answered me after.
No empathy, unpleasant, they are just here for your money.
I made a complaint to Airbnb who even had no response from the host. He answered few days later and refuse to refund me because of a “policy”.
This is a shame!
Book with another company, if you have a problem no one will be there to assist you.

Had the worst experience with a company ever:
We booked accommodation in Bingin. One week before we arrived, bukit vista texted us and wanted to know when we arrive, so someone is at the place to welcome us. When we arrived one week later though, they told us on site that all rooms are occupied and that we can’t stay there. We already paid bukit vista for the whole stay. So my wife, my 1 year old daughter and I stranded on the streets of bingin without a place to stay.
There were unable to get us another accommodation in Bingin and we had the feeling they didn’t really care. That’s totally unprofessional. I will never make a booking via bukit vista again.

BEWARE!

We stayed at Villa Ola la #5 managed by Bukit Vista (its a local listing company here in Bali). The 4 bedroom villa capacity is for 8 adults. I stayed in the villa with 4 other adults, 1 teen daughter, 3 kids under 12 years old. Within an hour upon our arrival, Bukit Vista Management asked us to pay extra 1.5 million rupiah for an extra little kid (the kid is not even 10 yrs old). As far as I know children under 12 still eligible for free stay in hotel & any villas,

Also They promissed us a private villa which is I think is not private at all. The villa comes with 1 live in house staff / Maid.

The extra charge occured was based on nothing, not in the contract agreement nor in any written house rules but yet Bukit Vista terrorizing us NON STOP to transfering the money for 6 days straight while we are staying there. They are very UN PROFFESIONAL. BUKIT VISTA had previously bad review about asking for More money written on Air B & B review.

Also Bukit Vista slandered us about us scoulding the staff, which is never happened at all and Bukit Vista has apologized numerous times for this incident.

It was an horrible experience and I dont enjoy every minute staying there because of relentless money terror from Bukit Vista Management and also the slanderring issue
