I sadly didn't find the board I was looking for but the owner gave me excellent advice and also didn't try to just sell me anyboard. He wanted me to find one that fits. Afterwards while waiting for a taxi we also had a really nice talk. He's really nice and cool. If you wanna buy a secondhand board definitely check him out!

Exactly similar story happened, the seller was certifying the good condition of the board and even after a detailed check of it, the bottom started cracking after one week of use
They cover ding and major overall problem with additional layout of resin so that you can’t see anything
Brought the board back and had an argument with the guy who offered half the price of the board
Don't go there to buy a board! The owner guaranteed me that the board was without any cracks or dings. One day later I saw that it was already repaired at the nose.
It was hidden so well, that even locals couldn't see it.
They are real masters in hiding dings.
There are a lot of other shops around that don't want to diddle you!
Boards are painted that u can't see dings. Unfortunately a friend of mine spent his Money there
Rented a board here for two days to surf Legian and Kuta. They were very knowledgeable about the local break, and spoke English well. We chatted about where to go on different tides, and what board to ride. They had a better selection of rental boards than other shops I visited, and I was able to find a shortboard that fit me well (the other shops I visited only had longboard soft tops for rental, or only a small selection of fiberglass boards). They charged me a reasonable price and were very easy to work with.
