Black Pearl hostel

They call themselves a hotel but it is a youth hostel.
The light is not enough in my room, we can't see anything.
The VMC of the SDB makes a noise like a concrete mixer.
They do not provide drinking water.
There is soap hanging on the wall 2 meters from the shower.
The restaurant is open from 9 a.m. To noon, period.
Contrary to what they indicate on booking, the "sea view" room is unlikely to exist because the sea is more than 600 meters away.
On the bed just 1 rough blanket, no top sheet.
We are not offering to clean your room. The staff is friendly but they spend their time playing pool.

The worst is the noise. Non-stop music from morning until midnight every day.concerts (loud music, ten people talking to each other louder than the music), guitarists who decide to start singing after midnight and drunk people who yell until late while the staff continues to play billiards.that you have to go down at 1 o'clock from the mast to ask for it to stop because you just want to sleep!
I love the music and the concert was pretty good but 24 hours a day it's annoying when you haven't chosen it and nothing indicates it when you reserve and pay in advance.
Small bonus: on the last day my air conditioning broke down, I reported it and.nothing.no one came to see.

In short, at €30 per night for not being able to sleep, it's just unacceptable!
Now if you're 20 and want to go crazy every night, the place is cool. But I'm over 20.

If you want to sleep, flee this place!

Absolutely everything! The dorm was comfortable and clean. The bar is very pleasant as are the swimming pools. See you soon!

I went to hang out with friends. It seemed well organized and calm. The day I went the band was playing, the bar was open, there was a tattoo artist. Some tourists as well as locals. It's close to the beach

I don't rent a room here but I go here to have some drinks and live music. The cocktails are good. The portion of the chicken karaage is a lot too!

ATTENTION this establishment does not know how to manage its reservations and practices overbooking!
I checked in late in the afternoon but surprise: in the evening when I arrived in my dormitory, another person was in my bed. No other beds available in the dormitories. More than 1 hour before finding a solution between non-English speaking or nonchalant people offering no excuses. In the end, my friend and I were moved to another MORE EXPENSIVE hostel at 12am. Read the comments of the 1 star reviews, they will say the same thing as me. They were smart to cancel my reservation on booking so I couldn't leave a review but I hope it will be seen here.

I loved! I stayed for 1 week!

Right in the center, shops nearby, beach 5 minutes walk.

The dormitories are well appointed (curtains, large bed and box with padlock).
They are also very clean.
Well after all it all depends on who is in the room.it's like everything.

The atmosphere is really great. We love the small concerts in the evening.

The staff is cool and accommodating.

Great hostel, 5 minutes from the beach to see the sunset, it's quiet but still has a great atmosphere! There is a bar & a restaurant. There are 2 swimming pools. The staff are lovely.
Surely the cleanest hostel in Bali, thanks to Eman's contribution!

An incredible place to connect with nature and the animals that are there.
The staff is very friendly and willing to help us with everything and offer us all the comforts, incredible food and a dream place, with access to a river just for us:)

The vibes that are created by Michelle and the rest of the staff are second to none. This is an excellent hostel, for whether you want to party or sleep, or sleep off the party! We planned on staying in a villa for half of our week in Canggu, but it was pretty evident that this wasn't happening once we made so many friends in both of their epic pools. 10/10 will come back to Canggu, just to stay here again.

I had a really hard time writing this review…

Firstly, the good points:
- very nice staff
- close to the beach and rstaurants
- nice atmosphere

Now to the problem:
-dirty matress with lots of dead bugs (different kinds) and black spots

I advise every traveler to check the bed and its surrondings upon arrivial. Bed bugs can be anywhere in any hotel… please always check for the signs!

Under the circumstances the staff and the owner have been very kind and forthcoming. The refunded me and I think they will take care of the situation in that dorm.

Great place, perfect location around 600 mts to d beach. If you reach early don't expect to get your room before 3pm but you can keep your luggage at the reception.

Booking got cancelled one day before planned check in. Reason: some people extended their stay.

Best hostel i have stayed at yet. Clean facilities, friendly staff, low price, great location and good food and drinks in the bar.

The hostel double booked our room and gave us no other option but to stay in dorms instead of the private room we actually reserved. We arrived at 10 pm so it was pretty much impossible to find another place so last minute.

Staff is actually nice and really tried to help but the management, which wasn't onsite, is utterly incompetent for listing rooms that aren't available and refused to assist the onsite staff or us in a reasonable way for this error.

The place is average, rooms are actually decent, but the pics definitely exaggerate the quality.

Also not suitable for digital nomads at all.loud music, weak Internet, and very limited working areas or power port areas.

Booked an Airbnb instead and left the next morning.

No idea if we'll even get the deposit for the reservation we put down for the stay since the hotel claims I have to deal with the booking site instead.would avoid unless you like rolling the dice.

Für das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis absolut zu empfehlen. 2 Pools und viel Platz. Die Zimmer sind okay, und jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad. Was hat mir gefehlt? Alles sehr sauber und 5* Hotel Standard. Das Personal war freundlich. Das typische Socializing eines Hostels habe ich nicht erlebt. Die Lage ist okay für Bali. Wenn du die totale Entspannung suchst, sicherlich die falsche Region.

Great place to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. The are 2 pools. Everybody is nice and you can chill by the pool or bar.

Hostels great, pool area is fantastic. Good social vibes. However, the food is disgusting. Pizza is inedible and took forever to arrive. And when it did arrive, I wished it hadn't. Stay here, just eat literally anywhere else.

Excellent hostel close to the beach with excellent staff. Great place to stay and close to lots of bars, shops and beach clubs. Great choice if your a backpacking through Asia and want to meet new people and friends. Cheers

Solid backpacker hostel, good for solo travellers. Close to the beach and helpful staff. Cheap rooms = Nothing special.

Great rooms, great pool, nice hostel. But you're gonna wanna make sure you get a room as far away from the bar as possible, the cheesy top 40's trap plays until at least 12 every night of the week. Also why is there like 10 Indonesian hype beasts sitting around at all hours of the day.
