Bird's nest thai kitchen

We visited this restaurant while coming to ubud. Small in size but good atmosphere. Food tastes good and services are good.

Taste the same as in Thailand. This Thai restaurant owned by a Thai lady. Her food is awesome. Must try Thai food in Ubud. Her crispy pork recipe is beyond many Thai places in Thailand. Recommended to all Thai food lovers

Small place, good food, my fave is the stir fried Kailan with chrispy pork, the tom yum is also great. The staff are friendly.

10 dec 2023: the pork tomyum is full of muscles and tissue. My gf ordered the vegetarian tom yum bit it came with chicken broth and chicken chunks. Ridiculous

2022: I Iove the pork tom yam but the soup was a bit too astringent and acidic to my liking.

Pad thai was good too

Food is good
Portion is big
Service is fast
Prices are affordable

Just a bit narrowly

Great little Thai restaurant
The pad-thai are excellent and the curries are very spicy

Ordered a veggie dish with basil. It was a mix of various veggies such as carrot, peas, beans, Cauliflower, broccoli etc. This dish came out so fast! And not a good sign for me when this happens. The veggies did not taste fresh, especially the snow peas. I had to spit it out right away as the peas had gone bad. It was drenched in sauce. The roti was quite small. The Thai ice tea was good. Very nice staff. Unfortunately I didn’t feel so great after this meal.

Friendly service and very tasty food period they don't have an extensive menu but what they do have they make well period I've been coming here for years and it's my go-to Thai spot.

Ordered Tom yum prawn soup (the best so far), basil chicken, green curry chicken and fried chicken wings.
Tom yum was tangy sour and nicely spiced. Prawns (4pcs) were fresh and sweet and lotsa mushrooms.
Basil chicken was nice.
Fried chicken wings came cold (due to not dining in but delivery) but was ok.
Green curry was nice too. Abit watery for me.
Thai milk tea was one of the best I have had. Smart restaurant packed ice cubes separately for me! (Thank you.)
The restaurant packed all liquid dishes in a bag and placed them in a box. Very smart!
Highly recommend.

THE BEST THAI FOOD IN BALI.
The owner chef is a real Thai. It tastes very good for Indonesian and foreign people. And this is a non-halal menu. My favorites are Tom Yum Soup and Chrispy Pork. The best of the best
My advice is to avoid lunch or dinner hours because the place is a bit cramped, and all dishes are cooked one by one by the chef. But then again this is the best thai restaurant I've come across. Thank you Chef Ae

Great Thai place with good value. I always come for their pork meatball tom yam. They also have excellent selections of fried rice. Can't go wrong with any stir fried goods either. The only catch is the place is a bit small so if you're going to dine in during weekend, it's better to book in advance.

Nice place. The foods friendly taste for foreigner (you can choose level of spicy that you want). The staffs are nice and friendly. If u come with car can park in front of the restaurant and you can pay by cash, with a credit card or an e-wallet

One of the best Thai kitchen places in Ubud. Papaya salad is not quite right, but pad thai and tom yum are almost like original.

The Ambiente is not that good but we don’t care as long the food and price is ok.

It is nowhere noted that you are closed every Tuesday! We drive here long time to see that you are closed? Very bad service!

Kailan Crispy Pork for 60 K IDR and Basil Pork in the background for 50 K IDR.

The kailan was cooked perfectly and seems to have shared the wok for just a short amount of time with the crispy pork, thus why the pork was still very crunchy when it reached our table. The pork was delicious and just right for every bite and the kailan was fresh and delightful to eat. There was no bitter aftertaste, so you know the chef knows what she was doing. The sauce was a nice thin layer of flavour which was a bit too salty for me but i guess it does accentuate the freshness of the kailan and the crispiness of the pork. Overall this is a great deal of value for 60 K.

The basil pork was also good and filling and just enjoyable with all its minced textures and fragrance. It does leave a bit of a sweet aftertaste, but i do find it quite an appealing counterpart to the saltiness of the crispy pork or even the warm heat and slight sourness of the 60 K Prawn Tom Yam. The Tom Yam itself is beautifully fresh as i can eat the whole prawn without that bitter aftertaste that one may get from other purveyors when one eats the prawn's head. I love just how subtle the overall flavour of the tom yam is in the sense that one can still identify its major components without them overpowering each other. I also love just how many mushrooms they put in the dish - truly an experience worth revisiting.

Sadly the 30 K papaya salad is a bit of a let down - not that it's bad, mind you, just that one could probably find better salads out there (albeit 30 K might still be very cheap considering its size). Perhaps it is because the cook toned down the spiciness and sourness for a wider audience, but luckily the peanuts in it were really good and helped with the saltiness and crunchiness to contrast the fresh sour papaya and sauce.

Last but not least, the 14 K pineapple juice was really really good. It was quite sizable for such a cheap price and they perfectly blended it with mint to really make it feel cool and fresh without overpowering the main ingredient. It's probably worth visiting just for this!
