Batuan Temple

An interesting temple complex which ideally hosts multiple deities according to the occasion. Each deity has its own temple or a place to reside, and a central complex where all can gather and pray.
One of the must see places close to Ubud. Very rich history with stories about Hindu history and why and when the deities are worshipped was the highlight of this visit.
The entry fees is 100k for 1 person which includes the sarong. There is ample parking space nearby with snacks and restrooms available.
In-between there are smaller areas for water to flow which host koi fish. Visitors can buy food to feed these koi fish and residing tortoises.

Fantastic temple. Was so lucky to be here with very few other tourists and our driver Wiski Gogo could spend the time explaining the temple and culture to us.

It was nice enough, and we were fortunate we had a private driver to explain some of the history to us which really made a huge difference to the experience we had. Though it’s not expensive, it felt like a bit of a cash grab - pay your entry fee, walk around for 2 minutes and leave. If you don’t have a guide, there’s little in the way of info and you can only access 1 courtyard. It wasn’t bad by any means, but without our guide, I’m not sure it would have been worth it.

I had a wonderful time visiting Pura Puseh Desa Batuan Bali, a beautiful Hindu temple in the village of Batuan. The temple is very old and has a lot of intricate carvings and statues. I was amazed by the architecture and the atmosphere of the place. I also learned a lot about the history and culture of the Balinese people from the friendly guides. It was a memorable and enriching experience for me.

Beautiful Balinese temple I visited as part of exploration day trip. They provide a sarong to wear while touring the grounds, Really nice Koi pond.

One of the most ancient temple which is a combination of 3 temples. Beautiful and amazing architecture, one can witness all kinds of temples in Bali by viewing this temple, you require to wear a sarong which is available at entry. The ticket is 30k idr. Worth the visit.

Definitely come here with a tour to explain everything here. Everything here has symbolic meaning and a religious history to it that should be understood to fully appreciate the temple. It is beautiful and very well kept.

Divene place. Before entering the local people will give a apron like skirt to wear which is cool (I think). U can take pictures. A lot actually. Great atmosphere.

Lovely traditional temple, great find. Helpful friendly security, helped us get our pram in and out of the temple. Highly recommend

Over all is good the temple is splendid and the pecalang (Scurity of the temple) very humble no ticket only give donation 10k idr per person and don't forget borrow the Sarung Before entering the Temple.

Batuan Temple is on the way of JL Rayan batuan road. It is accessible from two wheeler or any other mode of vehicle. The temple has an ancient history and is worth a visit. It's basically a Hindu temple and closes around 6pm. Almost all the temples in Bali gets closer by 6pm make sure you make it in time. The temple is sightful and the place is amazing. It has many sculptures which are beautiful. It is taken care by Balinese people and is maintained gracefully. Stones are carved with many different ancient history. Place is peaceful and relaxing. There are statues depicting the Hindu trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva Inside the temple.

Tempat religi yg memiliki sejarah yg panjang. Memiliki daya tarik tersendiri utk dikunjungi. Desa seni kental akan adat dan budayanya.

Merupakan pura pusat bagi masyarakat desa Batuan-Sukawati-Gianyar. Di pura ini dapat dilihat berbagai peninggalan (artefak) kesenian/kebudayaan Bali kuno. Dikatakan demikian, karena perkembangan kesenian/kebudayaan desa ini mengalami masa kejayaannya pada jamannya. Terdspat pula prasasti yang mencatat akan masa kejayaan tersebut. Pura ini menjadi penting untuk dikunjungi, karena merupakan pusat kebudayaan dan informasi di desa Batuan. Bagi penggemar seni lukis, gaya Batuan merupakan salah satu motif/gaya seni lukis yang masih dipertahankan oleh masyarakat/senimannya. Tari Gambuh juga salah satu bentuk seni pertunjukkan langka yang masih bertahan dan berkembang di desa Batuan ini, yang akan selalu dipentaskan di setiap upacara yang diadakan di pura puseh ini.

Well with the trip. No entrance fees but do consider a donation. Beautiful and serene. It was busy but not overly crowded.

Just temple is very near to tegenungan waterfall. The temple complex is big and the location is very easy to spot from the main road. It doesn't have any entrance fee but they will charge for the sarong and that is IDR 10000, which is well justified.

The temple is beautiful and unlike other temples you can enter into many places and take a good picture as well. For all those who keep deep interest in architecture and history this place has the significance. This is a must visit because it's very beautiful.

Lot of local tourist or oversea tourist, some place can not entered bcause privat for locals pray, historical building, very large area, large parking and reasonable ticket, must use saroong when enter the temple

Good place to visite, bagi yg mau explore bali utara, sekalian mampir kesini boleh bagus buat foto2, tiket masuknya cuma 10rb per org utk sewa kain bali
