Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Day Spa

The best place to stay on the island! The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Rooms are spacious and beautiful with a great view. Many choices to eat and drink at the resort and there are some great dining options to choose from just a short stroll away. The Spa treatments as well - WOW! We will definitely stay again! Thank you Batu Karang.

Very nice resort. Very beautiful houses, nice and chic. "The Deck" is also part of it. There you have one of the best views of the bay.

Have stayed here 4 times now and have loved everything about the resort, staff are exceptional and cannot do enough for you.food was excellent - highly recommend. Beautiful clean rooms lots of swimming pools definitely the best accommodation on the island. Attention to detail is exceptional.

The hotel is located on a hillside right below it there is a «boardwalk» with mulitple restaurants and bars.
Very quiet area compared to many of the more popular places in the Bali-area.

Hotel with an exceptional view. We were in a Balinese-style villa with a swimming pool opening onto the outside. The villa was sumptuous. The landscape and the 3 incredible swimming pools. The breakfast was very good. But the dinner/lunch very expensive for what it is. The staff took great care. And they have a great babysitter if needed. I highly recommend

I have never been so unimpressed with a place in such a short space of time. I wasn’t staying, but completed their contact form, asking if we could book some massages and a table for lunch. I didn’t recieved a response, so emailed the spa. Then, I messaged the hotel on Facebook. No reply.

Eventually, we decided that we would go anyway. When we got there, we were told that there was no space at the spa. I then asked if we might be able to use the pool and order some food and drinks, as otherwise we’d have made the trip for no reason. They said yes, if we agreed to a minimum spend, which wasn’t an issue, then went to get us a pass. When he returned, he said he was wrong and we couldn’t stay, as they needed to leave space for guests. I looked around and couldn’t see a single guest.

First, answer your emails and it’ll save people wasting their time. Second, if you decide not to reply to people, try not to further make people feel unwelcome when they make a journey to your establishment, happy to spend money.

Finally, I don’t appreciate being patronized. He suggested that next time I could stay with them, maybe for one night. I’m sure he didn’t mean for this to be rude, but I found it to be. Given the odd atmosphere and unhelpful, unmotivated staff, I would absolutely not be staying here in the future. Maybe they should live up to their four stars before they start turning people away.

I received a response and wanted to update accordingly. Firstly, I am grateful for such a detailed reply. For clarity, I conversed with your staff member in English - like the majority of tourists in Indonesia, I unfortunately do not speak your language. However, he seemed more than content with English. If he had struggled, which he did not seem to, I would have been more than happy to speak to someone else, or to speak in another language, if this was easier. I would also like to clarify that, whilst disappointed, I was not disgruntled and was nothing but polite.

I would also like to point out that I had never seen that visitors would not be able to use the facilities. It was for this reason that I took the time to email with questions before visiting. Whilst your response obviously took time, the underlying fact is that, had I received a response, I wouldn’t have made the journey, wouldn’t have been disappointed and there wouldn’t have been any confusion with your staff. I would be highly surprised if your contact form, email and Facebook did not work, so I would suggest two things: (1) that these are monitored more tightly; (2) that if someone has made an effort to get in touch, then made the effort to visit from the other side of the island, you might give the staff the power to deal with this appropriately.

My Husband and I stayed at Batu Karang for our honeymoon. Our stay was more than amazing - it was magical. The staff always greeted us with a smile, were very helpful and told us where we should explore and just lovely people! Our villa was beyond amazing. The view is spectacular. Our place was always cleaned, our bed made, fresh towels and even mopped the floor. The soaps in the shower actually smell amazing. And wow don’t even start me on the food. I have never had amazing food like that. They had plenty of options for vegans and dairy intolerances. I would highly recommend staying here. We will never forget this place and hopefully will be returning soon!

Can’t fault this place! But special mention needs to go to the staff their hospitality is next level! Thank you for a beautiful holiday!

We already come twice at Batu Karung hotel and we hope to have the possibility to come back soon as possible!
This resort is just magic, once you arrive you feel a leisure and chic atmosphere influence by the Balinese culture!
The villa are wonderful, the view on the Mont Agung is outstanding, the decoration is perfect and the amount of amenities and little details ensure you a comfy, luxurious and relaxing stay!
The breakfast and the food are very tasty!
The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance form many wonderful places on Lembongan!
Special mention for the upper pool and the bartender, who were just so kind with us!
For a gateway or a weekend outside of Bali, The Batu Karang is the best accommodation option that Lembongan can offer you!

We stayed at Batu Karang for one night before heading back to Bali. Overall it was a beautifully situated hotel. Stunning views and close the best beach we found on the island. However for a 4* hotel we thought there was definitely room for improvement. The air conditioner didn’t work properly, it was not cold at all. The hotel did come and check it but said it couldn’t go colder due the type of roof in the villa. The linen and towels need to be replaced. Overall the small touches need to be renewed to improve the quality of this hotel.

Visited early January and was our second visit. Batu Karang is absolute paradise. Beautiful resort, rooms and location. The staff are all amazing and cannot do enough for you. Thanks team.

We had an amazing stay in Batu Karang! All the staff was really great! And the hotel is perfectly maintained! The room with the pool had an amazing view!

Spent 4 nights at Batu Karang for my honeymoon trip and it was amazing! Loved the hospitality. The food was good as well. Our 1 bedroom villa was amazing. The views of Mount Batur from the balcony was so beautiful. We really enjoyed our time spent there and can't wait to be back again!:)

One thing that could make our visit better would be the WiFi. It was really quite weak and the signal is intermittent. It would be great to have better WiFi the next time we are back!:)

We loved our stay here and could not ask for a better place to stay. The location was great and the views were amazing, it was perfect for a couples getaway. I unfortunately got sick due to external street food and the staff at the resort were so attentive and organised a doctors appointment for me and organised a driver to get me to the appointment! I am very keen to come back when I don't have Bali belly.

Please reconsider booking your hotel stay here. While the grounds look beautiful, we had a nightmare honeymoon in October 2022. It is apparent that the hotel has not been keeping up with maintenance. Our ceiling dry wall collapsed feet away from us while swimming in our private pool. The staff moved us to a lesser value room and refused to give us a price adjustment for the rate differential. Please think twice before booking, if this is how the staff treats you for their poor construction. We wish to have remedied this situation prior to writing this review but the hotel has been unresponsive and have not given us the room rate adjustment that we need.

- We did provide feedback in person the entire morning that we were checking out. You were argumentative and refused to give us a room rate adjustment. You were so kind to send an email to your expedia representative that morning explaining the situation and we followed up on the email chain on 10/24 with no response from your team or your expedia contacts. Upon returning back from the US we have engaged our 3P booking site on multiple occasions (over 5 opened tickets) with your hotel either not answering or advising them you need to wait for upper management approval and you will get back to them. Your hotel has not returned their call nor provided a solution to our problem.

Separately, your team gave us (1) way compensation for the boat transfer, so please do not say you gave us free transportation both ways. The Occasion suite is not a room available to book on your website, nor did the a/c unit work in that room which is why we had to be moved yet again. The junior suite is a lesser value room than the private pool and was directly above the staff restroom on the properly which had an unfortunate odor and was very loud.

All we simply are asking is for a room rate adjustment for the few nights during our stay where we were not in the room we had paid for. We are not asking for a full refund, we believe we are entitled to this due to the unfortunate circumstances.

You should consider yourselves lucky that neither of us were injured by the ceiling collapse. Lastly, it took over 30 minutes for your team to come to arrive to "examine the situation" - another guest room called down and we separately walked down to the front desk 3x to get someone since we were unable to enter our room.

Kindly please respond back to our 3P booking agent so we can get this squared away.

We had an amazing stay at Batu Karang! The hotel is stunning and the room was very comfortable with an incredible view of mount Agung on Bali. The staff was lovely and very helpful arranging anything we needed. Snorkling trips, the boat trips from and to Bali, they even drive you from and to your room in their golf karts when it rains. Hopefully we can come back and have another great stay at Batu Karang.

Amazing place! Fantastic location, rooms are literally heaven, friendly helpful staff, great food. This is one of the best resorts I’ve stayed at!

Batu Karang is one of the if not the most luxurious Hotel on Nusa Lembongan. It offers three public pools, one restaurant, one restaurant-cafe directly built into a cliff to the sea and a spa (also gym and day-chill-area). Most villas and appartments as well as both restaurants and one of the pools offer a great view on the sea seperating Nusa Lembongan, Bali and especially Mt. Agung.

The Villas are big and offer nice outdoor showers and bathtubs. However, for the price of ~ 2 Mio. IDR / night (October '22) the quality of the rooms feels just a little bit lacking (small and aging TV, rather slow wifi, old hairdryer, overall aging technology and materials). The high prices are probably a consequence of the limited competition on the island of Nusa Lembongan. However, that doesn't change the fact, that the Hotel overall is probably just what you're looking for.

To my wife and me the most 5* like experience was the team of Batu Karang, though. Very friendly and very helpful.

This hotel is stunning! Easily the most beautiful on the island with incredible views and clean contemporary rooms. The breakfast was amazing too - I highly recommend the Avocado Smash and poached eggs (to die for!) and the pancakes were incredible too! The hotel makes their own gelato too and had some really great dinner options so we never got bored.

What really makes Batu Kerang special is the people. We spent our honeymoon here and when we arrived straight from our wedding, my husband was sick. It was a great shame that other than to visit the little island hospital, he could not leave the hotel room or explore this incredible island. With that said, the staff did everything they could to take care of him, bringing up steaming pots of ginger tea, local remedies and of course ferrying us to the hospital when required. They always called to check in and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone in the hotel knew our names and they would always say hi and ask after my husband. I haven’t been at a hotel where the people cared this much in a really long time. Thank you everyone!

Oh the views! Such an incredible, special place and the most lovely staff. Best spot on Lembongan. Definitely recommend Batu Karang!
