Bar Vera Bistro & Wine Bar

I’m not exactly sure about Bar Vera. Given how much I was looking forward to dining here, i left with not bad, but lukewarm feelings. We ordered the sweet corn tartlet, beef ragu arancini, pig cheek croquettes, prawn and warm polenta, roasted chicken. All the starters were creative and quite an explosion of flavours in the mouth. However, the main dishes that were supposed to be the highlights paled in comparison due to taste and textures. Really did not enjoy the cocktail i ordered too, it tasted like a bad mojito. Service was good, staff was attentive. Design and ambience of the space were on point (especially Further hotel). Not sure about the fan blowing in my face…but overall, it still deserves 4 stars.

Our go-to in Bali for a nice, refined meal with great wine and cocktails. Food is a solid 5/5 too, and the service is excellent.

Everything on the menu is worth to try. We had the octopus, striploin, pommes and cabbage. Simple menus but they elevated on whole new level. The dessert banoffle souffle was theatrical and delicious. Definitely going back to try the pumpkin pie, shrimp and other menus. What a gem in pererenan!

We had an absolutley fantastic time are Bar Vera. The menu was very well thought out and very well exacuted. The drinks list was broad with and great and interesting wine list. The wait staff were impecable. The owner was very engaging and spent a lot of time talking us through our meals and where the ingredients were sourced. An all round great experience and will highly reccommend.

Went for a birthday celebration to this very special restaurant in Pererenan. All dishes were well prepared, the wine list was exceptional, and the staff was top-notch. I will visit again, for certain.

Chic and nice place but so average in the end. I don't understand the reviews. So yes it’s subdued and the atmosphere is pleasant, perfect for a date, but it’s still 10m from the road with a lot of traffic. And above all it’s expensive for what it is. It’s even super expensive! Take a piece of bread, a dish and some water and get away with it for 300k even though the dish is ridiculously small. (Very good, but I have rarely seen such small quantities). So much so that when I left the restaurant I was eaten somewhere else. 16€ for water, bread and a dish the size of a hobbit is excessive!

Well above my expectations. The chef Ben crafts delicious food. There is something generous to it. I love it and the ambiance.

We enjoyed a superb Wine Tasting/diner event. We probably joined about 20 Wine diners in Bali so far - yesterday was probably the best due to extremly delicious food. Each single dish was perfect, surprising, unique.
The different wines we could taste and enjoy we can order hopefully online now. The high standard Vera promisses on the website was definitly fullfilled. Beautiful venue, great atmosphere. We come back - soon.

This is the vibe of Pererenan! It is vibrant, lively, loud, and dark. The menu is mostly classic items with modern twist much like its sister restaurant, Mason. The food was tasty and the service was good.

Best chicken I’ve had in a long time. The attention to detail at this place is on another level. You rarely get that in Bali. The staff are super friendly as well

Kudos to head chef Keir for the most incredible menu! We had the sweetcorn tarts, anchovy, mushroom tarts, octopus, pork jowl croquettes, chicken and hispi cabbage. Everything was delicious and so well executed. One of the best eateries in the Canggu area.

Food is amazing! Especially their octopus. Service is great. But not impressed with their dessert that we ordered, will order something else next time.

Had a group dinner with friends. Total of 6 people. We shared all the food we ordered and everything was so delish. We all loved the tartare, the baramundi, the soufle and the chocolate bite.

Ambience was very nice and relaxing. The staffs are very attentive and giving great recommendation on what to order

The architectural and design elements added an extra layer of beauty to the overall ambiance. A definite must-try.

Our second time here, and the food did not disappoint again! Absolutely delicious and so much flavour. Love the ambiance of the place, great for a date night! Lovely staff too!
