Bali Timbungan

A tourist eatery. This was recommended by a friend if one wants to try bebek or duck in Seminyak area.
We had the introductory package - Mengibung which is a wise choice for all Balinese food quessential - grilled duck with their signature spice served on bamboo, satay, fish skewers, Urap vegetables, battered squid and prawn, corn fritters and individual Balinese soup. The condiments are outstanding.
We also ordered the delicious jimbaran grilled fish and steamed vegetable with peanut sauce. Washed down with the loloh drink. It's really thirst quenching. The tape bakar or grilled fermented cassava is something. All and all for 4pax we couldn't finish the course as the serving is huge.
Do expect crowd. Also sells some aroma souvenirs. Service can be quite slow when crowded.

Nice place to eat bebek at bali. Bebek bakar has better taste compare to bebek timbungan. Very recommended place to eat bebek bakar or goreng

Meals are traditional Indian cuisine
Use a small round table to serve the table, put small portions in small containers made of bamboo leaves, and serve them with turmeric rice.
There are three different flavors of hot sauce, but I didn’t taste it because I was afraid of the spiciness.
Also comes with local homemade flavored drinks
Very traditional and worth experiencing
In addition, there are products for sale on site, including civet coffee beans, so you can take a look while you’re full.

Nama restonya Timbungan berarti pesen bebek Timbungan lah. Pesan 1 paket bebek timbungan + nasi + es teh di sini kesannya lebih bikin happy dibanding beli sushi seger gitu.bebeknya ada citarasa smoky karena bebek timbungan itu sebenarnya dimasak di bambu bakar, rasa bumbunya pas banget, kayak Bali banget gitu lho ngerti ga sih tapi ga setajam kayak rasa Betutu.penasaran sama menu tradisional yang kuno yang mungkin lebih Bali akhirnya terjawab di sini.kalo dulu raja raja Bali makan ini, ya emang layak, enak banget.

Gak tau deh kalo yang versi lebih kampung ada kayaknya bebek timbungan itu hidden gem karena emang enak banget, ngetik belepotan gini wkwk.

Lokasi tempat strategis, makan disana pas keadaan rame jd dapat tempat parkir yg cukup jauh.

I know it's a fine dining restaurant but the price compared to the taste is really not worthy. I'm a nasi campur lover, all I could say the nasi campur here is just so-so, even the tempe could've tasted much better. Ordered sweet iced tea and unsweetened one, the server got them swapped. Not gonna recommend this place anymore to anyone

Visited this place on our way to the airport since we're still unable to forget all the Balinese food that we enjoyed so much during our stay.

And everything were so good, beyond our expectation. Sate lilit ikan tasted fresh, fragrant and delicious. Chicken sambal matah has the best sambal matah with generous portion.

Fried fish with soup tasted heavenly, don't have to go to Mak Beng to enjoy soup ikan anymore. And they have some kind of drink, originally from Desa Panglipuran, and of course, that tasted brilliant too! ️

We tried grill clams with peanut sauce too, and it was great. Still wanna order some more but our tummy has no more place to fill.

Huge place, with nice gamelan music in the background, spacious parking lot and friendly waitresses, makes this a perfect way to say goodbye to Bali!

Bebek bambu nya empuk banget, ayam betutu nya juga enaak, nasi bakar seafood ny enak juga, jangan lupa coba desert pisang goreng panas dinginya.

Tempat makan bercitarasa bali asli. Staf sangat ramah, metode pembayaran beragam, menu khas bali, toilet bersih, ada meja keluarga, ada meja pasangan, makanan sangat enak, meja ada indoor dan outdoor. Parkir luas. Harga bersahabat.

If you are bored with typical bebek goreng (fried duck) then do try bebek timbungan.

The place is big, has many parking space, and free vallet service.
Interior is dim light (during night) and many seats, including smoking and no smoking area.
Service are excellent, waitress and servers are kind and helpful.

We order Mengibung set for 3 people. (345k)
Consist of bakwan, lawar, sate lilit, sate ayam, long beans, chicken, fried squid (should have prawn something but sold out and replace with this) and bebek timbungan itself. Before, you are serve with light seafood soup which is delicious and include kedongdong juice.
You can choose yellow rice or white rice.
We try the yellow rice and it is very soggy probably because they just cooke it cause take a while for the rice.
The other sides include the sambal is very nice and delicious. The soup as well.
Sadly, Bebek timbungan is not my taste, it has to many seasoning and overwhelmed the duck meat. The seasoning of herbs are quiet strong and not a big fan of it. Duck is tender and juicy, but the seasoning from timbungan it's not my preference. I love fried duck but this is not my choice of how the duck be cooked.
It is all come back to each respective taste.

Back here after 3 years, atmosphere still good, super amazing food. Very well cooked and seasoned. You have got to try their duck and chicken dish, never fails me.

So in love with the taste.the seasoning flavorful.i ate bebek (duck) timbungan half portion its include vegetables and clams. Hope in the future, they could get halal certificate from MUI

Bebeknya enak, bumbunya berasa, rempahnya juga wangi. Saya pesan Bebek Timbungan dan Kalajur alias Kelapa Jeruk. Very refreshing!

Had the worst Nasi campur in Bali at this place. This place does not cater to vegan or vegetarian. Very bland Nasi campur.

Local muslim grab driver recommends this place as halal. A nice place and peaceful place to have lunch. We loved the satay and ayam bakar here. The banana fritters also is quite unsual. It is served with ice water bath and ice cream. Very nice
