Bali Green Surf School

I had the best experience with my first & second surf lessons here! Both instructors Sam and Agus were extremely patient and encouraging, telling me not to give up every time I fell or got washed out. They also provided very constructive feedback to help me improve. I still can't surf properly yet but I'm so glad I finally managed to stand and catch a wave in a few times! I will definitely be back here to keep learning the next time I'm in Bali ^^

Seminyak is perfect for beginners and so is this school! They are really nice, funny, patient and do an awesome job in teaching! We already stood on the board the second try! Our instructor gave really helpful assistence and advice after every wave!

The surf lesson was amazing! It has been on my bucket list for a while and I'm so glad we joined the guys from Bali Green Surf. The instructors were great and gave good instructions and we even stood up on our first wave already! Also, they regularly pick up kids from a local orphanage to teach them to surf for free!

I’ve wanted to have a surf lesson for years, and finally signed up for one.
Jojo took me out and helped me through the process, and I never thought I’d be able to stand up on a board first time out. Such a good experience and can’t wait to get back out on the waves! Thank you!

An absolutely incredible surf school, I can’t recommend enough. It was my first time surfing and Gerson & his team definitely brought the energy and good vibes. They made sure I was both safe/prepared and also encouraged me to push my limits, maintain my balance, and “look up! ” Hahahah. It’s in a great location right by the beach, they make sure you have bottled water and everything else you might need. Do not hesitate to book with Bali Green Surf School, they’re the best.

I can recommend the surf school to any aspiring surfer. The surf instructors are super patient and respond to each individual surf student. They are very focused on the success of each student. Furthermore, they are very funny and are always up for a joke.

We had a great time. We were both beginners and thanks to the good help and clear instructions of the team, we managed to take 1,5m waves after 3 days of 2hour lessons!

We’ve had two lessons with Jojo as our instructor, and hands down - this is the best surf school, with the best instructors in Seminyak. The energy with the instructors is just right, the teaching is clear, precise and safe. Jojo is incredibly patient and a great teacher, a real asset to the school. I’d never touched a board prior to these lessons, now I’ve managed to catch my own wave and feel confident in the water thanks to these guys. If you’re wondering which surf school to go with in Bali, this is the one!

Our 3-day course with Bali Green Surf was all around great. All of our instructors, including Jojo, Kaku, Agus, were extremely friendly, helpful and made the learning progress a lot of fun. We will hopefully be back for the intermediate course soon!

My 2 teens are having fun with surfing. They took the beginners course with Baligreen surf. At the end of the course, they manage to stand on the boards. They continued another lesson, at the end of the 2nd lesson, the manage to catch their only wave with confidence. This is due to the good instructor of this school.

Surfing with Sony was a highlight of our month in Bali. We spent 4 days with him and felt the biggest improvement since we started surfing less than a year ago. He got us on waves bigger than I ever would have guessed I could handle, and transitioned us from foam to hard boards! He has a special way of making you feel supported and safe, while also pushing you past your comfort zone to improve. After we left Seminyak, we continued to stay in touch and Sony shared tips even while we explored other surf breaks and islands. I’m so thankful we found Bali Green and can’t wait until we return to Bali so we can surf with Sony and hang with the rest of the guys again! I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Sony!

Laid back instructor. Locals are always the go to for good spots plus you support their community! Had a really good time although my performance that day wasn’t my best. Thinking of having a do over in the near future!
