Bali Farm Cooking School ulasan
37 Me, my wife and her mother did a private vegan class with Deren, we had an amazing time. He was great host.
I am a chef and I really enjoyed learning about the traditional ways of preparing and cooking food in Bali. The staff were flexible and catered to our needs, as we only used wholefood ingredients.
The food was delicious and healthy and the garden was abundant.
I highly recommend choosing this cooking class if you're visiting Bali.
Awesome! Super sweet woman who helped us. We were the only ones so we actually had a private lesson. There really is more than enough food, which you prepare yourself and which you can enjoy afterwards. The tour of the farm is also very nice, you learn a lot about the plants, environment and culture.
While the cooking portion was educational, they were led by an army of very young chefs/ helpers who were drilled into the routines day in day out. Not to mention someone taking videos and editing it. And even complete with a survey form afterwards. Yup it was a professional run entity starting from the pickup. Nothing wrong with that and to be fair most of them were friendly and helpful. Not sure about the overwhelming glowing reviews. The market tour was unhygienic eating fruits and food and threw them away on the puddled floor. But people might say this is Bali and it’s sound exotic, right? As someone else mentioned the farm is full of mosquitoes so do beware as the small farm is actually part/ cleared from some secondary rainforest next to it. I would stick to an indoor cooking class minus the market/ farm tour.unless you have not seen gingers/ plants and rambutans before…
We had a great time doing the morning cooking class! We learnt a lot about the local way of life by visiting a food market and trying the tasty fruits and snacks, and later, by doing a tour of the farm. My husband even got to climb up a palm tree. We were also very lucky to find a ripe cocoa fruit, and we got to try the white flesh inside. Delicious! The cooking class itself was very good - all the dishes we made were delicious, especially the sweet and sour tempeh, and the cooking process was easy since we got a lot of help from our cooking assistants. They did all the hard parts (measuring, cleaning, grinding), while we got to do the fun parts of the cooking process. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, and they spoke excellent English. We highly recommend this activity to anyone coming to Bali!
Incredible how nice the crew is. This place is magnificent and it’s worth your visit if you are in Bali!
The food and the cooking class is fantastic and what a place they have!
Just go there and convince yourself.
Wow! What an experience! I learnt do much about balinese culture in one day. The food was delicious and the hosts, instructors, transportation were all excellent! Darren was a wonderful instructor, so informative and funny. Would honestly do it again! It was absolutely worth every penny.
Our cooking class was excellent. The food and dishes we made were so tasty and all food was fresh and hand picked by us on the farm. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Such good value for money. Would highly recommend!
We absolutely loved our day here at Bali Farm Cooking. It is set in a beautiful farm, which you get a tour of to collect your ingredients for your dishes. It was great to learn all about the fruit and veg that grow here. The cooking instructors were so kind and helpful and made it a really fun atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
What a great cooking class experience! Local markets, welcoming family, ingredients straight from their own farm. Amazing experience in Ubud!
Not sure of the 2x people who left 4 star reviews. Clearly they are just whingers!
What an amazing experience! They take a cooking class to the next level. Beginning till end is just one big exciting experience. The food was amazing and atmosphere gave good energy!
Really great experience making some tasty dishes (vegetarian menu for me). The steps are clear, it was very hands on with the chopping and grinding and frying, and I will defo try again at home! Ambience of the place is lovely, farm tour and plucking fresh veggies was great (but wear insect repellent!). The teacher Bigo was great at explaining, driver was also nice. Highly recommend. Will be remaking the sweet sour tempeh and peanut sauce very soon.
Really well organised, tasty food. Great value for money.
The staff are informative, knowledgeable and like to laugh!
Such a lovely experience run by a local family farm. The food was so fresh and fragrant! I loved every moment.
A Great experience overall. I Went to the morning class so I had a chance to visit the local market where we tasted some of local fruits and family recipe local cakes.
Then we were heading to the farm afterwards. On the farm we can see how they do the organic produced and harvested some of green vegetables.
The class than taking place on the wooden building where we're assigned the cooking station (one stations for every two people). The class was super fun, everyone was super friendly and helpful.
We had to eat the food we cooked afterwards and taken some home with us.
Totally recommended to anyone who interested to learn Balinese food and at the same time spending time in the suburbs area.
AMAZING! If you are looking for a place to learn how to make balinese cooking, you must go to the place! The lesson and food is amazing and people are so kind and funny!
Had a great time picking fresh vegetables and herbs and learnt a lot in an engaging class. Very friendly staff.
The whole staff was kind and friendly. The guide give us insight into Balinese culture and was very open to any question related to local life.
We were taken a tour to their organic farm where they grow the vegetables, root spices, fruits, and herbs.
The setup and instructions on the class was easy and they provided the recipe to take home. The food was so delicious and fresh.
If you like to eat, experience the local agriculture, and learn about the fundamental of Balinese food, I definitely recommend to take this experience!
It was a great experience! A perfect way to spend the day in Ubud and learn about the local culture and food! The food/recipes were delicious and very authentic! The cooking instructors and staff were so nice and enjoyable to be around. We really learned so much and cannot recommend it enough!
It was really amazing. The staff is friendly, patient and I learned a lot of new interesting things, thanks to them. The farm is a beautiful and refreshing place and I got the chance to cook some of the best dishes I've tried in Bali. I really recommend (also perfect for vegeterians).
