Loved every minute spent in this paradise. I’ve been living in Bali for many years now but I’ve never been staying in such a wonderful place before. A mix of adventure, nature and luxury awaits in the middle of the lush jungle surrounding wide rice fields. Many trails around the resort offer trekking possibilities so that you can immerse yourself in all possible shades of green. Refreshing waterfalls and rivers are within walking distance too. The mountain climate allows you to live without air-con and evenings get actually a bit chilly. Take a hoodie with you. At the restaurant you’ll find a selection of delicious and colorful food freshly hand-picked from the garden with innovative vegetarian and vegan options. The resort has been fully renovated a couple of years ago and is very well maintained. The room’s open architecture embraces its surrounding environment allowing you to live close to Nature while offering full comfort in the most respectful way. Staff is lovely and John, the owner, made us feel at home. The cherry on the cake might well be the ballet of fireflies in the evening. We didn’t want to leave. And we hope to be back soon again. Thank you to the whole team. Keep up preserving your gem.

We went just to eat. We were staying somewhere else in the area.
The place is amazing. The view is spectacular and the food is very delicious. Almost all the ingredients are produced by themselves.
Without a doubt a place to visit.

We discovered it because we went to the waterfalls, which are spectacular.

I loved the stay at the Little Padi Bungalow. The views of the rainforest, the sounds of the animals and the flowing of water through the property was something I've never experienced before. The staff was really nice and very helpful. There are also a lot of delicious vegan options. Overall the atmosphere and energy was great and unique.

Bali eco don't stay!
We have picked to stay there after reading so many good reviews made by the people for the first and only time! (Now not sure how genuine they were!)
Beautiful nature nothing else there. I would not say that is the place for families.

Managment - not existing to host the guests. This is done by the kitchen staff. Several times I complained about the food, and frankly maybe they had a bad week then.

Trekkings - since it is done in the rice fields, everything is wet and muddy. They could invest in boots for the guests since the fields are favourite places for snakes and rats.

Road -since the property exists since 2010 and the owners have opened 2 or 3 new properties in the area, he should invest in at least last 3 km of the road to his place. Since the road is so bad we heard other guests complain about that.

Accomodation - very nice, but since humidity is high, rain, spring, everything is wet and after 2 days it starts to stink, especially bed cover, towels and sheets. They could at least dry sheets every second day since they did not change this in 3 days and towels were really disgusting to use.

Food - ufff! They claim to have nothing but organic, home grown fruits and vegetables. This is a LIE. Every day we have seen delivery from the local supermarket that delivered watermelon! Watermelon was the most used and served fruit. Breakfast is too small even for children. I specifically asked every day for more food or a bigger portion but got nothing just a false promise. Lunch and dinner need to be ordered in advance. Ufffff. The worst dishes ever I had for dinner and lunch in Bali eco (don't) stay. No seasoning, no flavour, no love in that food. It is like hospital food, or hospital food has more taste than that. Christmas eve we spent there and again nothing - no music, no special cake, glass of drink.nothing. Very dissapointing, so I advise you all to stay away from this place that does not offer any hospitality, charm or good atmosphere!

Advice to the owner - instead of wasting time to reply on the critics, make the guests wellcome and listen to their complains while they are there

Wow, what a beautiful experience my fiancé and I shared at Bali Eco Stay! There simply isn’t the words to encapsulate the wholeness of our time there, other than to say time itself seemed more full, more abundant with life and verve. Paradoxically so, as there is such calm and stillness here, even the mosquitoes aren’t intrusive. Every interaction from driver to reception, cooks and waitstaff to gardeners, the cleaners and right up to Johnny the owner; every little conversation, query or request was met with gentle and warm energy.
The setting is stunning, nestled in the mountains. The spring-fed creek means you are able to drink the shower water, in Bali! The food they grow and serve at the restaurant wasn’t just the best we had in Bali, but some of the best I’ve had anywhere. It was like being cooked for by your mum and grandma, there was so much love in the food it was effervescent.
Four days felt like a week, and we are without a doubt returning to this special, special place.
I was ready to write off Bali as I’d only seen what had happened to the populated areas, but this has thankfully restored my faith in the destination and the potential for high-vibrational experiences still out there.

Thank you to everyone at Bali Eco Stay, we are so grateful for our time there, and eagerly anticipate our next visit.

Bali Eco Stay is truly an incredible destination that embodies the perfect blend of eco-friendly living, natural beauty, and unparalleled hospitality. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted with a warm smile and a sense of tranquility that immediately puts you at ease.

The Eco Stay's commitment to sustainability is evident in every aspect of the property. The stunning accommodations, which are beautifully crafted from natural materials such as bamboo and thatch, blend seamlessly into the surrounding jungle landscape. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a private bathroom, comfortable beds, and a lovely outdoor shower.

The property is a true paradise for nature lovers. You can spend your days exploring the lush gardens, hiking through the nearby rainforest, or simply relaxing by the crystal-clear river. The Eco Stay is home to an array of exotic wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and butterflies, and the staff are more than happy to arrange guided tours and excursions for guests who want to learn more about the local flora and fauna.

Perhaps what sets Bali Eco Stay apart from other eco-resorts is its commitment to sustainable agriculture. The property boasts an organic farm that provides fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs for the delicious meals served at the on-site restaurant. The food is simply delicious, and the menu is filled with tasty dishes that cater to all dietary needs and preferences.

What truly makes Bali Eco Stay stand out, however, is the incredible hospitality of the staff. The team goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome and comfortable during their stay. They are knowledgeable about the surrounding area and are always willing to provide recommendations and assistance with arranging transportation, activities, and anything else you may need.

In conclusion, Bali Eco Stay is an absolute gem of a destination that combines sustainability, nature, and exceptional hospitality into one unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this stunning property to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life and immerse themselves in the beauty of the Balinese jungle.

Surrender to the timeless rhythm of village life. Immersed in seasonal sowing and harvesting, local produce drying in the mountain sunshine, and all around the sound of water running pure and life giving. This oasis of calm abiding is part of that cycle, with seasonal fruits for the table, vegetables and grains organically grown. My discrete bungalow is perfectly placed to capture the sights and sounds of forest and stream.
A nourishing breakfast, long lazy walks in the surrounding countryside, a tasty organic lunch beautifully prepared.then relaxing by a secluded waterfall. This is bliss!

Bali Eco Stay is one of the most wonderful places I've stayed anywhere in the world!
Waterfall Bungalow offered an authentic, natural and beautiful experience I will never forget. To be immersed completely in nature, surrounded by stunning jungle and the sound of waterfalls was something to behold. Every day I would pinch myself and ask myself - Is this real? !
Johnny and his staff are kind-hearted, caring and genuine. They all work extremely hard to ensure guests have an amazing time.
As part of a yoga group we had a buffet breakfast, a light lunch and an evening meal. The food is all homegrown in the permaculture garden - so fresh and delicious. I came away feeling completely nourished in my body, peaceful in my mind and happy in my soul. Thank you Bali Eco Stay. I will return.

Truly one of the most magical places I’ve ever been! They have created an absolute paradise in the middle of one of the most beautiful spots in Bali. Sleeping with a waterfall next door to us is definitely something I’ll never forget. We went on a beautiful walk which I really recommend as well as the yoga every morning and the cooking class. The food was incredible as well! Highly recommend!

Incredibly helpful staff. I wasn’t even a guest at Bali Eco stay and Pak Agung helped me to find a car to take my girlfriend to a doctor back in Canggu. Thank you so much!

This is a magical healing place held and created with a lot of integrity and respect to the land and the culture of Bali, which is a rare treasure. The waterfall itself is profoundly healing and drinking true clean deeply sourced water is a true gift in this modern world. There is also a sweet family/community vibe which makes it also a good option for a solo traveler, as you can have privacy and solitude and also feel really safe and connected with others.

I feel it takes a few days to settle into the deeper rhythm of restoration and slowness of this space, and recommend to stay at least one week, better 10 days. It can also take a day or two to adjust to being so immersed in nature, but once you do adjust you remember how essential it is to have that connection.

Swim in the waterfall between 11-2 and be enveloped in rainbows. Eat the rice paper rolls, the best. Make sure to also swim in the stream that runs through the property which has its own magic.

If you are familiar with the healing magic of true raw water, you will be immediately in love, and if you have not yet discovered this, you will experience it at Bali Ecostay.

A very special place that is frankly how tourism should be, and offers a really powerful and deep reset. I felt profound healing and remembering in my own system through connecting with the raw wild nature while held in a really safe secure well supported space with what John has created.

It's magic, go.

Truly a hidden gem in Bali! I stayed 3 nights in the Spring Water Bungalow and I've never felt so much in sync with nature! The flowing spring is just underneath the bungalow, which gave me private access for a dip any time! The unguided red walk was stunning (small and beautiful waterfall, and panoramic rice fields). My body and soul is nourished by the pure spring water and freshly made food grown biodynamically on site with lots of vegan and special dietary options. The staff are all local Balinese who communicated in English well, and they were simply joyful and authentic in service. Thank you for everything, 4 days isn't enough.

Bali Eco Stay is truly magical. There are so many things to love: it's eco friendly, sustainable and self supporting (Johnnie has a permaculture garden where he grows nearly all of his own food, which is used in the restaurant). It is set high up in the mountains, with breathtaking views and surrounded by lush, green jungle. There are waterfalls to swim in nearby and glorious walks. Johnnie's dedication and hospitality are second to none. We had a wonderful 3 days here and can't wait to return!

Bali Eco Stay is a magical place unlike any other I’ve stayed in Bali.

The minute I arrived I just felt calm, peaceful and at ease. Like I could breath again.

The views are stunning; straight out of a movie-set-stunning. The air is clean, there is fresh water from the mountains and an amazing permaculture garden. The whole place has been carefully curated and lovingly and thoughtfully made.

There’s a beautiful yoga studio. The massage room is situated in a lushest green area.

The food was delicious. I’m vegan and they had lots of great options. The breakfast was awesome. I spent time just sitting here soaking up the view.

The staff were so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Johnny is special, kind and generous man with many stories.

I stayed in the Waterfall Bungalow. I loved the sound of waterfall, so calming. The view in this room
is out of this world (see photos). I felt the most relaxed I had in a long time. I spent 2 nights but would have happily moved in if they’d let me!

My absolute favourite place to stay in Bali, a short (beautiful and scenic) drive from Bali's main tourist center is an amazing little paradise. We chose to stay here as they have strong beliefs set within the environment and the resort is nestled within the jungle and rice paddie fields.
We enjoyed the private waterfall on-site which also powers almost the entire resort!

Come and stay here if you really want to turn off, wind down and really experience the raw, beautiful nature and environment of Bali.

Highly recommend the salad and harvest bowls, like the rest of the menu, everything is hand picked from the gardens the morning you order it! Be sure to take a tour of the gardens and river to learn all about the permaculture they've set up.

We had such a fantastic stay (this is our second time around!) and can't wait to come back again!

This is nature at its best. Each cottage is nestled away by its self. You can just feel to craftsmanship that went into building theses spacious wood villas. The natural air flow is all you need to stay comfortable day and night.lets not forget about the surrounding area. Be sure to take one of the nature walks and drink in the breath taking rice fields and waterfalls. There are plenty of activities to partake in. The restaurant and staff provide a wonderful menu of western and local dishes. Another impressive note is they produce most of there own food and clean energy. This a place I will return to and bring friends.

Bali Eco Stay is THE most beautiful and peaceful place in Bali. Hidden in the hills and surrounded by rice fields, this eco-friendly sanctuary comes with beautiful rooms, an onsite (private) waterfall, a swing, gardens that grow most of the food you eat, lovely staff, two yoga shalas AND two beautiful walks that lead you through coffee fields and lush jungle greenery. A river also runs through the property & generated the energy for electricity. The food is AMAZING (try the wholemeal toast & Buddha Bowl). The Green walk was my favorite.but if you do the Red walk you pass ANOTHER waterfall - you can swim in it and jump off the rocks. Whenever I go to the Bali Eco Stay I leave feeling renewed, refreshed and rejuvenated. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A must visit place. ESPECIALLY now <3
