Jalanan sempit, sepeda motor padat, ditempat acara (pura) petugas pengatur jalan (warga bukan polisi) rasanya kurang berpengalaman.lampu penerangan jalan kurang banyak.

Blew away my expectations. Naya, my guide, was awesome. I thought I would be on a bus, but it was him and I driving in the Bali countryside. He explained the life and living of the people we saw, how the rice farms irrigate, would stop whenever I wanted for photos and ate amazing local fruits and food. The waterfalls were absolutely mind blowing. He new were to step, how to engage the local people and gave me the trip of a lifetime. At one point my sandals broke and he gave me his own, walking the rest of the rocky way in his bare feet. He took pictures of me in the water, all the time making sure where I went was safe. For me, experiencing the jungle and nature of Bali this way blew away everything else I did. Take a change a clothes and footwear for water. Best vacation experience I've ever had.

Had a great daytrip with our driver Dewa. We went to different places where he explained some things and made some pictures from me and my wife.

Great experience right from the beginning to the end. We needed a ride from Pecatu to Medewi then a return trip a week later. Komang Mangkok was our driver and he was very professional, courteous and happy to take us where we needed. I highly recommend Baliadventours for all your needs while here in paradise. Request Komang, you won’t be disappointed!

Sincerely

We booked a private sunrise hike up Mt. Batur and tour of a nearby coffee plantation and visit to a hot spring through Bali Adventours via the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal (Expedia). The trip was as advertised, our driver Eka was helpful and courteous, and our hiking guide Jero was a seasoned pro (both in experience and in years - he's over 60!). Our car also dropped us off farther along the road to Mt. Batur (i.e. Higher up) because Jero's house is along the way, so we actually drove by several groups of hikers who were already walking before we started our climb.

Note for those of you who might be expecting a longer trek for your money - Bali Adventours is owned by Jero's son, and from reading other reviews on TripAdvisor it sounds like this is the pretty typical route taken. Other tour companies/guides may take you on a different route that is longer and/or not quite as steep. I appreciated the direct approach, but others may not. We were treated to the amazing views of sunrise atop Mt. Batur that you've seen in the photos, hot coffee and warm breakfast, as well as a tour of the hot steam vents along the side of the volcano where they hard boil (hard steam?) the eggs for breakfast.

Then after we returned to the car, our driver drove us to a nearby hot spring place where we could stay for as long as we liked (we opted to stay for about an hour), then to a coffee plantation (Santi Agrowisata Farm) which claims to use only the droppings of wild luwak. They did have one luwak in captivity (only to show to the tourists, they promised) and then we were able to taste over a dozen different types of coffee and tea. We purchased some coffee to take home to family from their store (80k IDR for a small bag) but neglected to buy the kopi luwak as it is way more expensive and I couldn't taste the difference from the sample cup we purchased to share).

Overall, a great half-day trip and a good idea to do this early on in your Bali trip if you are still jetlagged as our pickup was at 3am (I could have sworn I heard 2: 30am so were were outside and waiting at that time, but perhaps there was a simple miscommunication because our driver arrived promptly at 2: 59am). Worth it to pay extra for the private tour, unless you like spending a lot of time with random strangers.
