Arang Sate Bar ulasan
25Had a lovely meal here when in Ubud. Told the staff I had a peanut allergy and they were very helpful and accommodating to ensure I knew what my options were. The food was beautiful, service was friendly and quick, and all round a really enjoyable experience.
Got Bali belly from the cheeseburger! I’m on antibiotics etc. I’m gonna need IV Therapy and I lost at least day of exploring.
Delicious food but somewhat expensive. The owner kicked us out of the restaurant when she closed in a very bad way.
I was utterly disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite explicitly requesting a vegetarian meal, they served me non-vegetarian dishes. The staff seemed indifferent to my dietary preference and displayed a complete lack of professionalism. This complete disregard for customer requests ruined what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. I will never return and strongly advise others to avoid this establishment.
Do yourself a favour and try out this slightly hidden gem. Sensational creative food (and some staples for kids and the not so adventurous), excellent and friendly service and gorgeous decor. Thank you for a beautiful meal.
I thought Pork rib is a balinese food but it was just the same you can get in poor quality restaurant in America. The sauce tested the same of something sold in Grocery. Pork is too hard to chew like it was cooked and left for days. Not worth for 200k IDR
The food and the service was great, but understandably there were almost no other customers (it was 1 January), so therefore 3 stars for the atmosphere/ ambiance. Would definitely come here again!
Interesting variety of fusion sate that comes with 3 types of sambal to accentuate the taste. Also comes with a hot stone so you can prepare the sate just the way you like it. A must-go in Ubud’s busiest road!
An Indonesian poet Joko Pinurbo introduced me to this restaurant near downtown Ubud. It's a nice place to hang out. Good food. Energizing drink. Once I also brought my family to have lunch. They love this place.
Absolutely DELICIOUS food! Quality is excellent and dishes are extremely creative! Very kind staff! Coming here again soon!
We've been dying to try Arang on our last 4 trips to Bali. Unfortunately, either getting there was inconvenient, or we did get there only to find them packed to capacity. This time around though, we got a table, and how I wish we hadn't. The Sate was the weak link in their arsenal. We ordered a mix of regular and their "Signature" sates. While the regular chicken was okay, the signatures were really bad. Each was just a single skewer with a morsel of meat, and 2 out of 3 of them were tough, rubbery. Then, having given up on their sate, we ordered Nasi Goreng, which was decent. Ambience was enjoyable, but the meal wasn't.
Food was excellent, this restaurant is highly underrated. We ordered the pork dumpling, seafood nasi goreng and ribeye steak, all were really good. Highly recommend!
Wouldn’t even put 1 star but I had to. Messed up all of our drinks. Said that all the certain drinks were on specials so we ordered some, but turns out only one was the special, one we didn’t order. Didn’t stay for anything else. Lies and horrible customer service. Frozen margarita had shaved ice on top instead of blended in. They don’t know how to make margaritas!
It was our last dinner in Ubud city. We couldn’t pick a better restaurant The foods were delicious. Sambal matah was tasty, and we tried the fresh and delicious Bintang Radler lemon flavour to drink.
Surprised by the high end taste of food
I'll be coming back again next time recommended
Cool place. Delicious range of satay skewers to cook on your own hot stone. Good device. Lovely fizz served by the glass. Highly recommend!
This place is on the busy main drag of Ubud and offers an attractive presentation with little substance. The platter of assorted satay was more like a sampler than a meal, the service was slow and the side order of vegetables that we ordered was completely forgotten. Value conscious travelers might wish to avoid this restaurant.
I enjoyed everything there! The interior is modern, reminded me some of the London’s restaurants. The service is perfect. The food and coctails are just great, I’ve enjoyed every mouthfull. Very tasty!
Honestly I’m always hesitant with hip restaurants on a busy tourist street. More times than not I find the food overrated/underwhelming. Arang really surprised me. I got the butterfish and the sate sample platter. I loved that it came with a bunch of little sides to try. The coconut flan was good and the clean bathroom was a plus. Super bummed I tried this place on my last night in Ubud. That night I had actually wanted to eat at Mozaic, but I’m glad I didn’t and found this place!
The food and the service is impeccable
I'm personally not a person who gets excited by food. But this restaurant got me excited. Food was great, reasonably priced and the staff were super friendly. Ate there twice in 2 days and will eat again. Highly recommended- Just editing this review after 2 years and this restaurant is the one that I will always remember.
