Stayed here for our honeymoon recently. View was fantastic as was the room. Buffet could have been a bit better decent range of food but not the greatest quality. Would have been nice to receieve a gesture from the hotel for our honeymoon I.e bottle of champagne or even a box of chocolates unfortunately just got some rose pedals in the bath

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Anantara Resort in Bali. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the staff.

Upon arrival, I was desperately unwell with food poisoning. The staff's response was nothing short of remarkable. They immediately made me feel at ease, offering ginger tea and allowing me to rest comfortably in their media room until my room was ready. This level of care made a significant difference during a challenging moment in my trip.

What's more, the staff went above and beyond by accommodating my early check-in request, allowing me to settle into my room two hours ahead of schedule. This flexibility and eagerness to make my stay as pleasant as possible left a lasting impression on me.

In summary, our stay at Anantara Resort in Bali was nothing short of exceptional. The staff's kindness, prompt assistance and their willingness to go the extra mile made my stay truly memorable.

The combination of great food, a spacious room, and the warm hospitality of the staff make this resort a top-notch choice for anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable Bali experience.

We stayed at the Anantara for a week in a sea view room. The rooms are gigantic, especially if you come from Europe and are used to small apartment living. Room amenities are good and the bed is large and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast every day on the 6th floor of the hotel where they served a wide variety of Western and Indonesian food. The pool area is beautiful with an amazing view over the ocean, especially at sunset. If you are a surfer, this is an unbeatable location. A flight of stairs from the hotel takes you to the famous Impossibles surf breaks, far less busy than the nearby Padang Padang beach.

On the topic of steps, there are a LOT. The hotel is built on a steep site and so just from the main hotel down to the pool there are at least 50 steps or perhaps more. Very good exercise but perhaps may be less suitable for someone with reduced mobility or difficulty going up/down stairs.

We ate a couple of times for dinner at the hotel but that was a bit hit and miss, and our only area of disappointment. The dinner food in the 360 restaurant is very heavy with seemingly no lighter choices and we had a poor seafood pot pie with undercooked pastry in the other restaurant. My one piece of advice to management would be to look at what other local restaurants are serving. For example The Loft restaurant nearby had far superior food for dinner.

What really made this hotel stand out was the exceptional service from all the staff. It was a pleasure interacting with all of them every day.

Location and view was amazing.but got Bali belly and fever due to the dinner from roof top restaurant.lunch at pool bar was fine but overpriced.staff can’t explain why they charge more government tax than other businesses. Overall far away from the 5-star value and staffs need proper training of communication.

I stayed in Anantara with my partner and we are titanium members so we got a great double upgrade to suit with a private pool overlooking the ocean.

Diana looked after us through out our stay and helped us with everything from transport, spa bookings. The staff are really what makes this place they really want to make your stay memorable and to enjoy every second. We will be back.

Some other points others may find interesting;

There is a shuttle (hotel car) that will take you where you need to go for a small fee I highly recommend going to a few restaurants near by.

The spa has a offer on Sundays and Mondays check it out as the massages are amazing and worth every penny.

The sun set from the hotel is amazing so make sure you have a drink in hand to watch.

There is access to the beach but only for those who are able to walk down very steep stairs I would not recommend this for others if they have injury’s or older.

This place is amazing. Simply put the minute you check in you’re treated like royalty. The staff is super friendly, helpful and make the stay feel like an oasis away from home. Special shout out to Melda. She was fantastic from the minute we checked in until the minute we checked out. She went over and above to make our stay a memorable one. Would recommend 1000%

The hotel is nice and so is the location, but they overcharge everything. It’s absurd how even a water is extremely overcharged in this place. I stayed there for a few nights, but I’m not sure if I would come back.

Rooms are starting to look dated, but don’t let that stop you. The service is top notch. We wish we could have stayed longer!

My recent stay at Anantara Resort in Uluwatu left me with mixed feelings. While the resort itself offered stunning views, spacious and incredible rooms, and an array of impressive amenities, the dining experience fell short of expectations.

Let's start with the positives. The rooms at Anantara Resort were massive and truly impressive. The spaciousness provided a sense of luxury and comfort that exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities added an extra touch of elegance to the overall experience. I found myself in awe of the incredible accommodations.

The town of Uluwatu, where the resort is located, was also a highlight of our stay. The surrounding area offered a charming and vibrant atmosphere, with plenty of local attractions and activities to explore. It was a delight to immerse ourselves in the culture and beauty of the town, adding depth to our overall experience.

However, when it came to the resort's food offerings, we were disappointed. In particular, the Japanese restaurant within the resort left much to be desired. The prices were exorbitant, and unfortunately, the quality of the dishes did not match the high price point. Each dish felt underwhelming, lacking the expected flavors and presentation. Considering the abundance of exceptional dining options outside the resort, I would highly recommend exploring the local culinary scene for a better dining experience.

My experience at Anantara Uluwatu was very disappointing. Even though staff and hotel manager were apologetic for my poor experience, I feel the need to write a review to ensure the issues I experienced are addressed so that they won’t occur to others.

I stayed here for 7 nights and arrived on Sunday just after 2pm. I was told that check-in time is 3pm thus our room wasn’t ready. At this point I thought I had mistaken check-in time as 2pm from my booking confirmation. Once the check-in process was done, I waited for about another 30mins until my room was ready. When I checked my booking paperwork again, it showed that check-in time was actually 2pm as per hotel check-in standard in Asia.

I was starving by the time our room was ready as I hadn’t eaten anything all day. I headed down to the poolside restaurant and ordered Mee Goreng as it’s the national dish of Indonesia. It was extremely salty and tasted horrible. I grew up eating fish sauce so I’m used to salty food, but their Mee Goreng was intolerably salty! I gave up on the poolside restaurant after that and moved on to 360 degrees restaurant. Whilst the Mee Goreng and Nasi Goreng were better here, all other dishes I ate during buffet breakfasts and dinners mediocre at best and sometimes inconsistent.

My biggest issue with this resort was the dramas I had with the toilet! It was blocked on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. That was way too many occurrences. Each time it happened, the staff member I spoke to apologised for the inconvenience and sent someone with a plunger to unblock. At no point did the resort consider changing rooms for me even after I had expressed my disappointment and frustration.

Another inconvenience that occurred during my stay was when I got locked out of my room after dinner on Thursday. The key suddenly wouldn’t work so I was told to sit in the lobby and wait for “an engineer” to fix the issue. After waiting for about 30mins I was told my room was opened but the issue can’t be fixed until tomorrow morning, which meant they could let me in the room but if I exit the room I won’t be able to go back. They told me to let them know once I’m out of the room in the morning so that the engineer can fix the lock. Again, just another apology for the staff member.

In addition to a blocked toilet occurrence on my last night, the power also failed. I woke up a few times during the night as it felt very warm. I noticed the aircon and lights were off when I needed to use the bathroom. The room was pitched black and I couldn’t even call reception for help due to no power. My husband had to get help from a staff member at the lobby.
Lastly, a few other things that weren’t so great. Wifi connection was poor and unreliable. The general female toilet on level 2 (lobby level) needs regular maintenance. The toilet was leaking and untidy on all occasions I needed to use it.

After I completed the check-out process and was waiting for my airport transfer, the hotel manager came to apologise and get feedback on my experience. He offered me a complimentary airport transfer, but I declined as my transfer with another company was already paid for. Unfortunately no amount of apologies can undo all the “inconveniences” during my 7 nights stay at this resort. It was such a waste of money and frustrating holiday.

We visited this property to have dinner while staying at the Radisson next door. Everything about this hotel was very run down and unattractive. If we had been staying there we would have been very dissapointed. The place was poorly designed, and terribly maintained. After walking through the grounds to get to the restaurant we were so put off that we left and ate elsewhere.

2nd time staying here at Anantara Uluwatu. Slightly disappointed with the room, as the toilet had sewage issues. Bed is very comfortable. Bar at the pool area serves nice food. Impeccable views. Lift is available for a trip down to the private beach.

Could have been better if the resort is able to provide a free buggy services to drop off people just outside the resort. Resort charges 60k rupiah for a shuttle drop off outside. (Ps: Other resorts like W Hotel Semiyak have free buggy rides out.)

Beautiful resort with great views and tiered layout is great for privacy. Starting to look a little worn but still very nice. Phenomenal breakfast buffet but all the dinners we've had at 360 and the Sea Salt Fire grill have been mediocre.

A 5 star hotel with personalized service. They remember your name and frequently check whether you are doing OK. Suite and overall resort is as what you would expect from a 5-star hotel
