My husband and I got married in April this year in Bali, where we have lived for 3 years. Being a 'mixed' marriage as they call it with me being British and my husband being Indonesian, the paperwork required from us both for the legal side of things, before the wedding could even be booked, was lengthy and at times frustrating. Didin at Amazing Bali Events took all that stress away, she was passionate, patient and above all over the moon to be helping us. Her confidence that it would all be ok was infectious. She even managed to get a quick turn around of our wedding certificates after the day, so we could have them back in time for our visa update, something that was not an easy task as they had to be sent to both of our Embassies in Jakarta and stamped by 2 different departments in each! (and then to add 'Bali time' to the equation). However she did it and we got them back in just over a week when it could have taken 4 weeks or more. She updated us every step of the way which was reassuring to say the least! This was a step further than her responsibilities but she did it without a worry. Didin often came to our home to help at a time convenient to us, sometimes late in the evening, although she was already off shift but she always arrived with her trusty list and a huge smile. She advised on and helped source many things from the flowers, cake, kitchenware, candles and incense at my request, to the venue itself. She spent hours with me going through the rundown of the day, sometimes carrying on into the night and never once got impatient with my constant changing of mind! She had so many incredible ideas and we incorporated many of them into the day but also was not offended or pushy if I wanted to do something different or had sourced my own supplier for something. Didin even managed to find pastor from my husband's village in West Timor and asked him to wear his traditional Timor attire, which pleased my husband's family very much! Didin came to walk through the venue with me numerous times before the day to ensure everything was how/where we wanted it and she arrived early on the day to help me fight my nerves, hand me a beer and just ensure everything ran smoothly.
The price is also fair and transparent. No hidden costs and they truly do help you find the best for your budget. We didn't have a huge budget and I made this clear from the off, there was no pushing to go with a more expensive company for their own commission etc, absolutely nothing like that. It was literally like planning it with my friend, they had our best interests at heart and that is not something you find everywhere!
There's no way our special day would have been as smooth, and as special if we hadn't decided to use Amazing Bali Events and had the pleasure of finding Didin there!
