27 Surf School 1 on 1 Lesson

If you're new to surfing, I'd suggest starting in Kuta because it's safer compared to other beaches.

Now, about 27 Surf School, they're pretty awesome. You can get a one-on-one session for 2 hours for around IDR 250 K - IDR 300 K.

But, gotta be honest, there's a downside. One instructor, whose name slipped my mind, wasn't as great as the others. I had lessons for 2 days along with my 5 friends, and this instructor helped Friend A; and Friend B on the next day. Unfortunately, he couldn't get them to stand on the surfboard, and he wasn't very encouraging.

On a better note, the other instructor was solid. They knew their stuff and made the whole learning experience better. Overall, 27 Surf School is still a good pick, just watch out for that one instructor.

Had an amazing time at 27 Surf School. The instructors (Loren and Roy) was fantastic; patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. I learned a lot during the session. Would highly recommend this surfing experience to anyone looking to learn and have a great time. Huge thanks to the team at 27 Surf School for making it such a memorable day. I took 5 sessions, with Rio (the best of the best) he understood and adapted the advices to my level, and i could see the progress even in only 5 days

I love my surf classes with 27 surf school. The coaches are great, super friendly and I feel so safe. I really really recommend this place if you want to learn and have a good experience with surfing

This is my second time learning with 27 Surf School. OJ and Chan were great instructors and we had a great time on the waves!

Had awesome time learning surfing with 27 Surf School for two sessions. Went to Up2U two days before and both instructors I was assigned are too young and spoke limited English so I changed to 27 Surf after. Via (I think is the manager for 27 Surf) was very welcoming when I approached her on the beach after reading good reviews on Klook. I was assigned with an instructor called OJ and he is amazing. Clear instruction and extremely observant by providing a lot of good advice and tricks which really helped me improve rapidly in just two sessions. Sadly my holiday ended after else would have go back for more lessons. Only downside is the sea is a little crowded comparing to where I trained with Up2U but I think there's nothing they can do since it's a more popular beach. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend 27 Surf for beginner especially for their instructor and good vibe from the team. Kudos for the job well done! Will be back soon!

There are many academies in Kuta, but I recommend 27 Surf School. The surf training that started with catching the balance gave me stability and confidence. 27 Surf School with really passionate surf instructors. You can receive 1: 1 surfing training and photos.

It is a surfing class that I want to recommend to other friends. I recommended it to two Malaysian friends

Great people to get a lesson at. They will get you on the waves quickly and safely, me and my girlfriend had a great time. Would recommend to everyone wanting to surf at Kuta Beach. They also take great pictures of you for free, and if you want videos you can pay a 50k fee extra.

I found them on klook. It was good experience to surf in Bali where world championships is held.
Instructor was so kind. He taught me how to stand up on the board at the beach first and go into the water.

We went to deep sea and tried bigger waves the waves were powerful and fast.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Unmotivated staff, bad communication through WhatsApp and lazy attitude. Really unfortunate and maybe we got unlucky but I cannot recommend this school. Other ones are much better.

Walk into a random surf school.

Luckily they were able to accommodate and got bro Roy to coach me before their packed schedule starts.

Thanks to bro Roy’s coaching & efforts, i had a great session with him.

His advices were spot on and a “safety comes first” attitude. I was able to adjust fast and managed to pop up smoothly.

Went back in late June 2022 - it was my first time surfing and i did 6 lessons with 27Surf’s Ozzy over 5 days. It was the best experience: Ozzy was super patient with me! His English is great and I felt greatly encouraged by his guidance and his technical feedback. It was around 15 SGD for a 2 hour 1-1 lesson which is super worth Helvia, the owner of the school, was helpful as we scheduled lessons over WhatsApp and even helped me find accommodations nearby (it was my first solo trip). I also appreciated their videos and photos they took of me that’s included in the surfing package! I hope to come back to Bali and surf with them!
